Apparently some in the media think Sanders was an All-American. Not sure how else they'd have us being worse.

I think I'm in the wrong industry. All you have to do in the media is hype up Kentucky, Duke and talk about Louisville's hooker scandal and put absolutely NO work in on any other team out there. How hard of a job can it be?

Haha seriously. And the other thing I always see is people picking against Kansas in the Big 12. "I know KU has won it 700 years in a row, but this is the year for Oklahoma!"

Anyone else think that losing to Kentucky in the round of 32 was the best thing that happened to this group of guys?

I went back and watched the post game press conferences and not only was Larry Davis extremely proud of this team, but the players showed more determination and motive for next than sorrow for losing to one of the greatest teams ever built.

Sure UC could have faced any other of the 30 teams in the tourney and had a better chance to win but ultimately I believe Kentucky was the game they needed to play and the one that needed to set the stage for this season.

I just feel this team is working so much harder in the pre season to get better and I truly think that Kentucky is the lead motivator.

The tournament in general had to give the guys a lot of confidence heading to this year. They have to feel if they played a little better, made just a few more plays, and maybe hit a couple of shots then they could've kept playing. Advancing further in '16 must seem such an attainable goal for them that working hard to improve is easy. Light at the end of the tunnel kinda thing.

I wonder if Kyle Washington is gonna play in tomorrow's scrimmage, I would like to get a good look at what we will have at center after Ellis and deberry.

I expect Kyle to play. He's really good...

Nice, the only thing I could see in video that he needed to improve on was using his right hand more and going right on post moves and finishing with his opposite hand better, but besides that he looks even more athletic than Ellis and maybe even stronger.

It's been many years since I've seen a guard with the passing skills that I saw Saturday from Justin Jennifer. I was highly impressed with his performance and I don't know if he'll play 20 minutes, but I believe he will play significant minutes and
will be a significant contributor on this team. I was equally as excited about Evans as well. He looks like a very solid, well rounded player. Overall, we're deep and we're skilled. I liked the improvement that I saw in most of our returning players.

Overall, I'm as excited about this team as I've been in many years, probably since Huggs left. I've seen a lot of these scrimmages, Midnight Madness', or other early scrimmages like this one, but yesterday's scrimmage got me pretty excited. Again, I guess I was a lot more excited about Justin Jennifer than some of the other people here. But, I just saw some amazing passing yesterday. That is something we have sorely needed for a long time. I am looking very forward to the first game and to this season. Go Cats...

I saw the same thing you did in Jenifer yesterday. It was a scrimmage so hard to take alot out of it, but he definitely had a different smoothness with his passes in traffic. As excited as I am to see his future, I think history still tells me he sees more minutes on the bench than in the game his freshman year. It will be interesting to see if the offense struggles with Caupain running the show if that pushes Cronin to tinker with the line-up to get Jenifer more minutes to try and jump start the offense. Ultimately I see his role as a change of pace, uptempo attack off the bench his freshman year.

Another note, DeBerry is going to hard to keep off the floor. I know Ellis is the starter and deservedly so as he's better conditioned, more athletic and thus all around a better player but DeBerry's combination of size and the ability to move with the ball is just an advantage you can't overlook. His D yesterday looked good. It's too bad Quadri can't be relied on more to give quality minutes because I'd love to see Ellis and DeBerry getting significant minutes together. Unfortunately you have to have at least one of them on the floor at all times so I see them essentially just being swapped in and out for each other for the most part. Quadri still looks like he has no confidence, like he's intimidated out there.

Thank You! I am pretty high on Uconn as well believe when we play we both will be in the top 15. This is becoming a crazy competitive and physical riverly and I love it. If you think we both protect home court who do you think wins the third match up in orlando?

I would prefer it be HOUSTON! :) It would surprise me if one of us didn't make it to the FF. BOTH would be a major statement.

Over the next few days I will put some serious thought into that question. I will see UConn live a week from today. There have not been any open practices for anyone other than the students at this point. I am very bullish on UConn this year and consider myself an objective observer when focusing on the national scene in general.

Is it possible that Shaq plays the 4 in a small lineup, with Evans at the 3? Quadri doesn't seem like he's ready to contribute at a high level yet, and Scott is just a FR. If we go small, or if Clark gets fouls, I wonder if we would ever see this.
