2017-2018 Season

just watched his senior mixtape. Man, he has it all offensively. Body control, very consistent shot form, great finisher around the glass, and super athletic. What I like too is he seems to have a high motor, and played his best games against the best teams in his conference. We'll finally have a team next year who are all confident in their offensive abilities.

I would venture to say 1-6 (broome, evans, Cumberland, gary, Washington, Williams) evans might be the least assertive. Looking to see way more dunks and oops next year with the increase in dribble penetration.

I loved the leadership of TC and KJ, but that had to be one of the worst guard duos in the country for dribble penetration.

Last week was just the week I have been waiting for since the end of the season. We landed two P5 schools for our OOC and a lot of circulation on recruits. I can't wait to see what this week will have in store. I would love for another OOC and to find out a visit is set for Bragg.

Yeah, I would like to hear about 1 more big game in the next couple weeks

I don't think they can get a bigger home and home series than ucla. The other guys aren't coming here. Surprised ucla did

You never know what could happen. I never would have thought in a million years that this would have worked out and it did. There could even be a possibility of a neutral site game somewhere even like the under Armor thing where we would play Mich State in Madison Square Garden. Even If we can't get a home and home series as big as UCLA still finding a decent program would be great. Somewhere between a UCLA and a Mississippi State type game. (TCU, Oklahoma State, VCU) Anything like that.

Is there any concern about any of our recruits qualifying?

Its kinda good situation if so. If Nsoseme has to academic redshirt, I believe he doesn't use a scholarship that year.

SOOO that leaves the possibility for Bragg wide open.

If he does qualify, then we are out of the running unless a guy leaves or mick kicks them out. (unlikely)

I want Carlton Bragg!

Also, local Princeton HS product Darius Bazely has decommitted from Ohio St. XU has already offered. I'd love to see him stay home & play at UC.

If we got those two, the future would look even brighter for UC!

No thanks. Everything I've heard is that he's pretty overrated.

Just looked at NBA draft expresses 2018 Mock Draft, and Jacob Evans is #39 to and also noticed he will be one of the younger players, especially younger Juniors.

Have a feeling that if Evans has a another good season, it could be his last as a bearcat.

This 2018 recruiting class has to be good

Much of this probably has to do with his improvement in stats from last year.
It's going to be tough for Evans to break out AGAIN this year. There are too many scoring options on our team 1-5 for him to be able to take over as "the man". If he can develop a reliable dribble drive move he might be ready to move on. He is not a great enough shooter alone...he needs to prove he can drive. He was not there last year by any means...we had a freshman on the team who was better at it.

He has to be a knock down shooter or a complete all around option from a driving standpoint. I hope for his sake he can develop the driving aspect. I would love to see him go NBA...it would mean we had an awesome season. He is a GREAT kid and hard working guy dedicated to program success. Easy to love! I hope the best for him.
