He had some minor clean up work done on the ankle that had been bothering him since the injury just prior to the 2016 AAC Tournament...

Perfect, thank you.

I figured it was some offseason cleanup and not another, new, injury. See from his social media he's already back working out.

Since 2011, Mick Cronin's Bearcats have finished within the top 25 of KenPom.com's adjusted defensive efficiency rankings for seven consecutive seasons. In that stretch, he has lost an abundance of talent, including Octavius Ellis, Sean Kilpatrick and Cashmere Wright. Cincy's identity as one of America's top defensive teams has not changed, but in 2017-18, Cronin might field his most balanced team. Kyle Washington (12.9 PPG, 6.8 RPG, 1.2 BPG), who connected on 53 percent of his shots inside the arc and 36 percent of his 3-point attempts, returns to lead Cincinnati into a battle with Wichita State for the American championship. With Jacob Evans and Gary Clark in the mix, Cronin will have his top three scorers and critical elements of his defense from last season. Jarron Cumberland made 65 percent of his shots inside the arc last season. Now he moves into a more significant role with Troy Caupain and Kevin Johnson gone. This group also adds Sacred Heart transfer Cane Broome, a guard who sat last season after averaging 23.1 points in 2015-16. Another strong year for Cincy? Yes, another strong year for Cincy.

Odd that he doesn't mention Quadri...did I miss something? I'm not the biggest Quad fan but he has helped us occasionally.

I saw the Quad Squad a few days ago when I was returning a purchase at Amazon. He was still on campus after school had ended.

I don't think Quadri is going any where. He'd have to sit out a year. Doesn't seem all that worth especially when he will be playing on a winning team next year.

I really think its awesome he has stuck around. Came in as an ESPN top 100 recruit, never started, never played over 20 minutes a game and yet didn't leave his team. Thats a dude who is pretty dedicated.

I honestly hope he has a senior year to remember

We have seen with Michigan that these things don't always get worked out. I hope it does but wouldn't be surprised if it didn't

I think Michigan was a different circumstance. This would be a one off event and because it's an event that ESPN or cbs will probably help sponsor, we might be the ones who make the first announcement.

I don't think Chad would let it out of the pay wall unless it was a very good possibility.

I'm betting we don't even get the full schedule til august just because we are sharing an arena with nku and I'd imagine that's a scheduling nightmare

@JonRothstein
Iowa returns 75% of its scoring from last season and nine players who averaged double-figure minutes. Your 2017-18 Big Ten sleeper.

God, I sure hope so. Getting a win over them early and then they go on to surprise some people in the B10 would be fantastic.
