Each passing year and at best marginal gains in offensive production. Cronin's system is a joke when you don't have a pure scorer/shooter (Cash, Kilpatrick, Lance, etc.). Look how far Evans has "progressed": he can't even get consistent separation from defenders, he's afraid to take jumpshots, and he's not committing to driving the lane..

Youre oblivious if you don't think Evans is about the same as Kilpatrick was. Not much separation so don't really understand what you're saying?

Afraid to take jump shots? He shot jumpers too often IMO. You never want to build an offense around jump shots. Too hard to be consistent. You build it around getting easy shots for the personnel you have. Evans is uber athletic so he will be more successful when he can get to the rim. The fact that he has a nice jump shot will force defenders to play him honestly. His stats are right in line with SK through 2 years. If he ends up a 2,000 point scorer, is that good enough for you? What more do you want?

If you were to say that you want him to be more assertive on offense, I would completely agree with that. Next year will be his team as the best player and an upper classman. This year was Troy's team. Watch for Jacob to take a big step forward from a leadership position next year.

I think Evans has progressed well. If you expect these guys to come back from the summer and be an all American you're fooling yourself. That rarely happens

I'm still really impressed with Cumberland. I'll be honest, I had my doubts about him. Really didn't know if he would be able to shoot that well, he proved me wrong. I figured he could get some tough baskets just having a bigger build, but didn't think he was going to be able to do it this well as a freshman in college. I was really impressed and maybe more impressed with him than I was with Evans at the end of Evans' freshman year, however Evans ended the year with 26 points in a tournament game was pretty impressive. Anyways, the point is not to try and compare them but more so be extremely excited for next year. Add in Keith Williams, this will be something special on the wings.

Cumberland is going to be a great college player. Will probably average 16+ every year from here on out. He just scores.

I also think Evans is going to have a great college career. He isn't as aggressive as cumberland, which is he's biggest weakness. But he's defense is elite in my opinion. Glad we have both

I really think Evans will get to the league.

He might, but I remember people speculating that he might be gone after this year. That's one reason I'm taking a wait and see attitude towards any transfers or incoming frosh. Nothing I hate worse than having too high hopes dashed.

What happened to Washington? He became a dumpster fire in the last 10-15 games or so. His jump hook vanished and he seemed to lose focus in games.

Cumberland and Evans need to average 32-35 next year for this team to have a chance. Figure Clark will tack on 12-15.

My predictions on PPG:
Broome: 12
Cumberland: 15
Evans: 16
Clark: 12
Washington: 13
Bench
Jenifer: 4
Moore: 3
Brooks: 2
Scott:2
Williams: 2
T Moore: 2
Nsoseme: Redshirt

83ppg

I know that seems like a lot but I really think our Starting 5 has zero issues scoring and we should be playing at a much much faster pace.

teams figured Washington out. Make him go right and make him play defense. If we can figure it out from at home, not hard for other teams to figure out. He has to adjust

I know people will hammer me for this but Keith Williams will average double figures on this team next year. He has the ability to score at all 3 levels - he is a good FT shooter- he is athletic as Evans and is aggressive like Cumberland. Last but not least he will be a beast on defense, he has the length and has been guarding some of the best guards in NYC.

Not saying he isn't going to be a heck of a player but I just don't see him getting to double digits next year, just because I don't know he will see enough playing time for that. Probably only play about 15 minutes a game.

Any video I've seen of him, it doesn't look like they bother with defense - he's going to have a steep learning curve on the defensive side as do all Bearcat frosh

I agree.

16-17
Cumberland: 19.1 mpg, 8.3 ppg

15-16
Evans: 24.4 mpg, 8.4 ppg

14-15
Clark: 27.8 mpg, 7.8 ppg

We've had great freshmen over the past few years but haven't had a freshmen average double digits in the scoring column since Lance Stephenson.

If he scores double digits it's because the team is putting up 100 a game or he's so great he forces Micks hand to play him over Evans or cumberland. I don't see either happening. He will play cumberlands role this year. I think Evans plays as much as possible and Cumberland should push 30 minutes a game, so I just don't see significant minutes for him. Unless his defense is just stellar and Cumberland stays the sixth man, which I don't see either.

I may be off on Keith Williams that we will find out but all three recruits this year played against top competition in practice and in games so I think their will be less of an adjustment than say a Tre Scott who came from a small town and was by far the biggest and best player on his team.
