It’s funny though how UC fans wants a big with offensive skills and then we finally get him and now they want to play the soph who has shown zero range on offense. Just shows how fans are never happy.

I love Kyle. I love his passion and leadership and we only get a skilled face up 4 for one more year and they don’t grow on trees. Brooks will get his turn and will get a Ton of major defensive minutes this year.

This motion offense doesn’t work without skilled players 1-5 (think Notre Dame) and I’m not ready to go back to bigs who make nothing but dunks and bunny’s just yet.

I love how people assume you arent happy because you have an opinion of what you think will wins games. I like every player on this roster, and Kyle is no exception. Him being a liability on defense is not anything no one has ever said before, including Mick and Chad. No one ever said he should play more than Kyle. Kyle has earned an deserves his minutes. Dude had problems getting up and down the floor last year man, especially towards the end of games. How dare someone suggest the most improved player (allegedly) should get some minutes down the stretch??

I have never been more "happy" about UC basketball and have watched 99% of their televised games since 92 when I was 12. Been a Mick supporter and backer since day 1 and have never left. Questions, yes. Frustrated at times, sure, but Mick has done a lot for this program and many of us couldn't be happier right now

I have some serious beefs with reags logic regarding rankings. He has X ahead of us for one but also will have seton hall ahead of us. He criticizes our offense yet our offense was 50 spots better then SH and our Defense was 15 spots. We return just as much as they do and he has them probably 10-14. Yet at the same time says WSU is better than us and uses kp to show that. You can’t have it both ways.

He also ranks UC lower then any other publication I’ve seen. Dude has a grudge against for some reason.

I'm with you on this. Besides blueitt, I think we are better at every position. All homerism aside, I'd Like to know how someone would think this, unless you're just going off the tounrney. There was a month and a half last year when they only could beat DePaul. As for seton hall, I have no idea

I'm with you. Impossible to have a normal conversation around here sometimes. I mean, sorry for being excited about the season and casually discussing rotation possibilities? Lol. The thing is, if I know Coach Cronin, he's going to use Brooks plenty. After all, he was playing double digit minutes in our most meaningful games down the stretch last year. I wonder if our own coach will be accused of hating Kyle Washington and not being happy! So divisive. I swear this has to be a troll job or something. There is no way anyone could read this thread and be so sensitive that they read these things into any of those posts. Bizarre. Truly.

I'm right there with you. I don't go to many games but I haven't missed many televised games since the early 90s. I feel like this is the best the program has been set up since the peak Huggins years.

No doubt man.... I should have mentioned that I have been a season ticket holder for four years as well, and would have been more if I was able to do so... Shoot, I remember suffering through the days of Ronald Allen and Adam H and co. just hoping for this day and time to finally come true. It took a while, but I think Mick had got us in the right place. But I do not want to dog too much on the cats early rebuilding years cuz I did really enjoy Jamal Warren. Thought he was a very solid, underrated player.

I guess to me it seemed like a crazy Idea to put any kind of cap on our highest scorer per 40 minutes. I have synergy and I went back and watched every scoring possession brooks had and he hit one jump shot all season. Everything else was dunks or layups.

Him and Kyle are the exact opposite players and affect different ends of the floor, but I can almost bet on brooks never being as offenseively talented as Kyle in any point in his career. Kyle was one of the most unguardable bigs I watched all last season.

And, Everyone wants a high powered offense so we need Kyle on the floor 24-26 minutes in my opinion.

Yeah, everyone I have read said to give Kyle more minutes but maybe brooks can get a couple more this year. Also, a counterpoint would be Kyle will never be the defender brooks is right now. We all get Kyle can score. Not one person said he couldn't score. Some of us, along with his own coach, think there are some weaknesses in his game.

Washington needs to be on the floor for his offensive game but the amount of minutes he gets is also going to be impacted by his penchant to pick up fouls early and often. Hope he does a better job of staying out of foul trouble this year.
