2017 General Recruiting

Ok Waite. We should get out recruited every year by Rutgers and DePaul. And if we don't, it's only bc the coach pulled off a miracle. Lmao.

You're exaggerating his point quite a bit. Even our insider said there isn't truth behind it, and even if he didn't the numbers prove it. That's not to say we can't recruit at a high level still, and it's definitely not saying we are gonna recruit like the bottom schools of the p5. But as far as top basketball programs go, being in a power 5 conference is a huge plus, end of story.

Gonna be tough to get a 4 year player to come here. At least one the staff is high on. No playing time available.

We are losing a starting pg and sg and hopefully not a starting pf. It depends on what promises have been made if any and if we can keep Kyle for another year.

I would be tempted to pocket it in hopes of playing in a new arena will help our chances after a couple of really good years. I'm a take em if you can get em type guy... assuming we can get a great player. If he's not great I would pocket.

If Washington keeps playing like he does and Evans continues to improve they might not be here much longer.

I don't think they will leave. If anyone does it would be Kyle. I think they would be better served to stay another year. It would boost their stock especially if we make a run

I hope Trevor Moore plays. He's the 3-pt specialist we have all been wanting. He could come in, play 8 minutes a game, make a couple 3's and really help out, imo.

I feel like even though we know he is a 3 specialist, Mick will bench him as a frosh for being a defensive liability.

Haven't seen it brought up here, but what about kicking the tires on Austin Nichols, MC was the first to offer him out of HS? I know he was dismissed from Va, how many years of eligibility does he have left?

Not sure how that would even work. Hes a RS Junior right now. And would have to enroll in a school now I believe. Not sure how it works, but the way I take it he has a little less than 2 years of eligibility left. But would still have to sit out a year. If he transfers to and enrolls in a school now, he would have to sit out the remainder of this season and the start of next season. Giving him Jan, Feb and March. He may just enter the draft

I heard that he has a cocaine problem . That's what some Virginia students were saying and he failed multiple drug tests

Sounds like the young man needs to get his head on straight. Where he plays next year should be the last thing he is worried about.

According to Jeff Goodman: Georgetown's Isaac Copeland will transfer, per school. Had seen his role decrease lately. Highly touted recruit.

6'9 SF but can probably play the 4. Former 5* recruit. Should Cronin go after?

If he'd be eligible for 2018, sure. Not sure he'd come here for one year next year just to be a backup. His numbers look fine, as long as you can get him to stop shooting threes.

He is looking to come in and be a starter with major minutes. He is not coming here to be part of a team IMHO

I think we will obviously reach out to transfers. Would make a lot of sense for someone to sit out next year while practicing with kyle and gary. And you have to think some of these transferring bigs are taking notice to kyle flourishing so far this season

Georgetown transfer Isaac Copeland has cut his list to Arizona, ASU, Cincy, Illinois, KU, NC State, Nebraska, Texas, & UConn, per a source.
