Fickell can certainly help his cause if he gets off to a great recruiting start. If he lands a great 2018 class, I'll be fully on board.

Also, Ohio State is well over the scholly limit for next year & will have roster attrition following the season. UC could be landing spot.

Could see Fickell offer kids he had a good relationship with but weren't offered by Ohio State, such as Pick Central RB Morgan Ellison.

*Ellison also tweeted out about fickel to uc. Committed to ohio right now but a guy to keep an eye on. Got to watch him thru their ohio D1 playoff run and looked real good. Had a great game against in semi finals loss to st.x (2017 recruit)

Along the same lines as above, if UM were recruiting a player that they did not have room for or chose another player instead, would he suggest UC as a landing spot now? Sounds crazy, but it isn't like he is in any direct competition with UC and if it could keep recruits away from other B1G schools he is in competition with

Just a guess, but I think OSU would prefer the B10 "others" stop being terrible. Now if he could take Michigan down a peg or 2, he'd do that, but I doubt we're beating out Michigan for guys.

Why do they care? 3 CFP's and they were in 2 already, B1G was regarded as best conference this year before bowl games began. When has OSU ever wanted their opponents to be stronger, they sure don't schedule that way.
 
Uc has offered the number one ranked receiver( on rivals) L'Christian smith in football and basketball. Pretty interesting with a 2 sport prospect. He's from huber height Wayne where coach foster graduated
