2018 Football Recruiting

Time will tell. How many of those recruits did Luke begin a relationship because he was at a premiere P-5 program? Yes, it hurt to call them premiere, but it's kinda true. Winning opens a lot of doors, again time will tell.

The biggest and best thing about Luke is huge emphasis on local kids. If he can keep a few top local kids (4 or 5 star), this program will be very competitive with every G-5 program and most P-5 programs. There are a lot of really good football players in the Tri-state. Win and he may even get to the point of winning recruiting wars with tO$U...once Urban leaves.

Probably a lot of them. Also, note a lot of these guys are defensive players. LF obviously has the reputation of being a great defensive coach. He has national championships and his defenses have always been great. Just an interesting point, hope LF can bring in some big name offensive guys too.

In the past I didn't follow local football recruiting much. How many four stars are in the tri-state area each year? How about five stars? Are we just including a hundred-mile radius when we speak of this?

I don't have exact numbers. Probably 1 five-star every two-three years and 5-8 four-star players every year and several three star rated players in 50 mile loop.

I am estimating the loop to be north up to Dayton, south halfway to Lexington, west through around Connersville, and east to whatever is 50 miles out there.

@MikeDyer
#Alabama just offered Moeller 2018 DT Aeneas Hawkins, per Moeller coach John Rodenberg @WCPO @LetsGoBigMoe @Mark__Porter @AlabamaFTBL

Thanks so much Red and Black.
I look forward to 1 4*/ yr and several 3*'s. Go get em Coach LF

Does anyone know how our Junior Day went? Who did we have on campus? Should we see any commits here in the next week or so?

So these 3 are long shots, right? Except bolden?

Vann is probably a long shot given we would be recruiting against Bama, OSU, Clemson, FSU, USC, etc. Hawkins and Bolden are definitely possibilities although I, among others, expect Bolden's recruitment to pick up now since he will be given the chance to shine at the LB spot this season.

Maybe it's just because I'm looking closely now but Ohio's 2018 class seems loaded. If we could just grab one or two of the higher rated guys, we'll be good.

Moeller, Huber Heights Wayne, Colerain and X are all loaded with 2018 talent. Should be able to get multiple recruits.
