Yeah, he really never made it far enough to play a lower seed. That usually only comes into play in the later rounds. We played and lost to Harvard as a 12. Would have played Loyola. Have to win to play these teams

Happened plenty under Huggins too. In 10 of his 14 tournaments we lost in a game where we had the better seed (including 7 times where we didn't make the sweet sixteen as a top 4 seed). We didn't win a single game as the underdog.

Cause the cream puff ooc schedule he put together hardly translated to a high seed. Even when we were in the big East.

I’m just saying, it couldn’t be upsets in the same bracket as us for easier games, or even a seed bump. Harvard was a very good team the year we played them, way under seeded that year from what I remember. We get a lot of by draws, there’s no denying that.

Nevada was the highest rated 7 seed in the tourney.



Now go back and look at xaviers sweet 16 runs. Some of craziest luck you could ever imagine in terms of draws.

We got a really bad draw in the first round against Texas though. They were #32 in Kenpom, by far the best 11 seed. We were up 19 with 16 minutes left, but Texas came all the way back to tie it with under 4 minutes left. Very similar to the Nevada game to that point, but we then scored on 5 straight possessions to seal it.

Yeah I was sitting next to a couple guys all decked out in Fl St too. We were going back and forth but all in good fun, was an awesome experience. And then the party in downtown Nashville afterwards.

They sped UCLA up for a few minutes and made a bit of a run. Still down 10 though. Mick's iso offense doesn't give a lot of opportunities for TO's and UCLA has enough mismatches to exploit that they can score pretty well.

They are so small it's kind of amusing to watch. UCLA's 6'6" guards have gotten multiple standing rebounds over AC's players. Mick's type of team is exactly what a team with a bunch of 6'0" guys doesn't want to play.
