No worries. Dayton still won't get in.

Then again, that might still ring true for Cincy.

The "First Four" will be played either the Tuesday or Wednesday after Selection Sunday. The winners of the four games will advance to what will now be called the "second round" on either Thursday or Friday. The newly named third round -- with 16 games -- will be Saturday and Sunday. The rest of the tournament -- regional semifinals (Sweet 16) and regional finals (Elite Eight) -- will remain as they have been, as will the Final Four, which is set for Houston in 2011.

not a fan.. No one watched the "play in game" why do they think people are going to watch games simply to determine who will be the four 16th ranked teams

I like that the last four in have to play the worst four teams, but I don't like the seeding process they are using. I guess it's fair that if one of these bad teams (a 17 seed) pulls off the upset and wins (which I'm sure will happen at least once every other year) they deserve to get that 12 or 13 seed, even though the commitee has established them worse than the 14, 15 and 16 seeds ahead of them.

To me this is just a money driven idea. By having 3 additional teams along with the traditional 65, the ncaa is hoping for more interest in the play-in games or at least one more day of march madness interest. i am a firm believer in the concept of "if it is not broke, don't fix it". But if UC is team #67 this year, you wont hear me complaining...

They should take the last 8 At-large teams and have them play for the number 12 or 13 seeds. Then you would at least have some games worth watching.
