I have wondered about that myself. Just as a point of curiosity. I know there have been many recruited by Mick. I believe it's the urban environment of the campus but personally I don't care if they are Indian, Chinesse, or Purple if they can get us to the NCAA Basketball Tournament and don't embarrass the university while they're here.

Not I... No greens. I would rather lose.

Kermit can suck it

My goodness, I am sorry I posted the question. I had no idea I would be assaulted for asking. For your imformation btw, I read the post by a gentleman named armybrat20101 in the Cincinnti.com forum and found it interesting. Just wanting to get an intelligent take on the question. I am sorry Mr. Anbuc and Mr. Bearcat Alum for upsetting you.

Also, I have no idea who Mr. Bacon nor, for that matter, a thomas master are. Why I am being tied to them is beyond me but I will stop posting questions. Seems to annoy some when I do.

Yeah. I'm sure you don't know a Mr. Bacon. So lets here what your intelligent opinion is on this. You ended your second post with " I mean come on, something is up with this dont you think? " So let here it. I eagerly await your response. If anyone thinks that you aren't pointing toward racism, they are living in a fantasy world.

You know, on BCN, Longtimer resurfaced as Mr. Bearcat. When myself and others called him out for his reincarnation, we were told that he was not one and the same. Low and behold, it turns out he was Longtimer. People don't change their tune. Go back and look at Beacon of Power's posts and Juliepitzer's posts, and see if there is a similarity. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.

You seem to know more about my motive in regards to my post than I do. I never stated, nor do I feel, that the absence of white scholarship players on the Bearcat basketball team is racist by any means. I do wonder as to what situation exist to keep those types of players away however. That sentiment is reflected in the statement you seem to have problems with.

Mr. Ambuc, this seems to be a sore topic with you and I do apologize for bringing it up. I assumed bloggers would take this as it was meant but it seems some have read more into it than was meant. And if I am reflecting negative opinions which others share, or thoughts which do not fall in line with those you possess that does not qualify me as the one in the same.

You implied it, and you know it. You just aren't woman enough to admit it. You don't like Cronin and your posts all have that undertone. After they lost to ND, you posted sarcastically that "Cincinnati is Cronin crazy." You are connected enough to know that there is a movement to get rid of Cronin and Thomas. Then you must know that he was married to an African-American woman. I don't know if this bothers you, and contributes to your dislike of Cronin, but your question about lack of white players on UC is racist.

This is not a sore topic with me. But posters such as you who come in with an agenda are. You, specifically, hide behind your gender and think you think that you can bring up such crap because you are naive and just want to know. Do you think white players would make UC a winner, but UC and especially Cronin just doesn't want to recruit them? Come on. I'm spot on with this, and you know it.

Its a shame that someone can't even ask a question without being accused of racism. I guess we haven't gotten as far as I thought

I have no idea why anyone reads the cincinnati.com forum. Some of the dumbest people on the internet post there.

Asked in a vacuum, there is nothing racist with this question. Asked by this poster, it is 100% racist. Look at her previous posting history, its 100% anti-Cronin and Thomas. She says that she has looked at recruits in the pipeline and targets over the next 2 years, and noticed that none of them are white. How many go at Rivals 150 and look at player profiles to see how many of them are white. How many of us actually care. Is the enjoyment of the game based on how many white players are on the team? Is it at all relevant.

Juliepitzer knows enough about UC to post that there is a movement to get rid of Cronin and Thomas. She's not some innocent, naive poster who just has a curious question. She is the worst kind of racist, as she hides behind her gender to spew her garbage. She wants us to think that because she is a woman, she can ask this question, as she is just interested. She has come here with an agenda, and her prior posting history reflects this. I picked it up immediately, as did BearcatAlum. If you want to fall for it, be my guest. If she had any intergrity, she would admit it. My recommendation is not to hold your breath.

BTW, I am not African American. If some of the other posters on here (such as GRT1, BearcatAlum, BearcatJeff, Lobot, JasonS) had asked this, my response wouldn't have been as strong. By the same token, I don't think they care what color our players are.

Wow, I do not know where to start. I don't follow other's posts as close as you seem to but you still cannot possibly know what goes on her thoughts. Based on your posts on multiple forums all I know is that you are a big supporter of Cronin. But I get the impression that when someone criticizes the coach your arguments get very emotional and personal. I still do not know what kind of person you are outside of these forums and I wouldn't begin to guess.

I am a big supporter of the program. If Cronin leaves or is fired, I will support the next coach with the same fervor. As for the bolded comment, does it really matter. Do you think one day we will break bread together? I am a anonymous poster on a message board, just as you. But I am 100% right about this.

How about a beer from one long time supporter to another?

Touche. There are a lot posters on here I respect, and would love to have a beer with. I think you would find me a passionate, reasonable person who spends too much time on a message board but loves my university. Would love to have a beer with you while watching the Cats someday. Lets go out and kick some SJU ass today.

Ambuc, you sicken me. For you to sit behind a computer screen and call a woman a racist without knowing her goes to show your lack of character. I have been married to this woman for 30 years and no one, and I do mean no one, is more tolerant and accepting than her. I read her post and it is a fair question. It is a long standing joke here in Cincinnati that white players do not come to Clifton. It has been that was as long as I remember. She was simply asking why it is this way. You sound like one of the vocal idiots who scream racism in downtown everytime a black man gets a traffic ticket.

And btw, both of us do not like Cronin. From the looks of things, we are hardly alone in that feeling. We do support the program however and have attended many games this season. When she criticizes Cronin, she is venting and should be free to do so without fear of some self acclaimed "know it all" puting words into her mouth. Quite frankly Anbuc, you are the type who causes harsh feelings towards others to become entrenched and I question your motives for the post you create.

just stop talking.

I didn't start this thread. What motives would I have have to bring up the lack of white players on UC. Your wife however, in the initial post went back 5 years, not 10 or 15 or 20 years, and said that there were a lack of white scholarship players on UC during this period. She also posted that she had looked at the race of incoming recruits and targets over the next 2 years and none of them are white. How many others on here have actually done this? Zero, is my guess. Put in the context of dislikeing the current administration (which I knew she did when I read the intitial post), and especially Cronin, the only reason to bring this up was to accuse them of racism. Stop playing games here and come out and say what you think. Both of you seem to know enough about UC and Cronin to quit beating about the bush. What pushed my button was that this exact sentiment, down to Fletcher being the last white player to be at UC, was brought up by the poster Beacon of Power on BCN last year. Maybe I see things that aren't there, but its not hard to connect the dots. I guessing your name must be Thomas. I'm done talking about this, and think this thread should be closed. The last thing I would want is to next have your children start posting on here in her defense.
