Watching Houston destroy them and shut these fans up will make me happy.

Yup, I'm seeing about 14 1/2
I really don't care what we win by I just want to win. Really want the team to have some post season success after a very nice regular season. The team and staff have worked very hard to get to this point. One game at a time mentality for me and I could careless about the score.

Caupain and Johnson are 2-6 in their postseason careers. Today that starts to change. I agree, one game at a time. All we can do today is beat Tulsa.

I know I keep saying it; but the committee has shown that it values top 50 wins over everything else.

We don't have enough of them. we have 3 if Houston falls out of the top 50 and 5 if they don't.

Based on RPI ranks here is how many top 50 wins teams ahead of us have:
1.Villanova: 10
2. kansas: 9
3. Louisville: 7
4. North Carolina: 5
5. Florida: 8
6. Kentucky: 9
7. Baylor: 9
8. Oregon: 4
9. Arizona: 4
10. Gonzaga:6
11. Florida State: 10
12. Butler: 9
13.Duke: 10
14. Cincinnati: 3
15. Virginia: 6
16. UCLA: 5
17. SMU: 1
18. Purdue: 5
19. St Marys: 2
20. Minnesota: 6

Now look at those numbers and tell me which 3 teams look like they don't belong? All 3 are from mid major conferences.

I love UC. But come on guys, were not being shafted. We don't have the resume. On both sides of us in the RPI we are surrounded by teams with double and triple the RPI top 50 wins we have.

Am I saying we couldn't beat some of these teams? No way. But I am saying, based on what the committee has shown to value, we don't have enough of it.

Like, it maybe better for us to hope Houston beats UCONN and then us lose to Houston to save energy AND propel Houston well into the top 50 so when they pull our team sheet, we have 5 Top 50 wins and zero losses to teams outside the top 50.

Because we if beat Houston and then lose to SMU, it does very little for us, except Propel SMU above us. if we beat them we gain a top 50 win, but we gain 2 if we lose to Houston

If we beat Houston and SMU and Houston somehow manage to get in the top 50 on selection Sunday we will have a total of 6. That would put us on pretty equal footing as many of the other teams on this list. Of course a few of them may also pick up more top 50 wins.

If Houston is #51 and the committee draws a hard line at 50 but doesn't even consider 3 Houston wins...that's just an insane way to do things. At that point you are saying #50 carry's so much more weight than #51 which is obviously ridiculous.

Either way I am kinda hoping for a 5 seed for several reasons. I am just talking about what our team may or may not deserve. If we win out I think they deserve a 4. I still think they will probably get a 5 unless all the right teams win and lose and of course we still would have to run the table which I I would give us a 33% chance at this point. We should win our first two games (maybe 75% chance) and then 50-50 at best against SMU.

Still a 7% chance for a 3 seed! Don't discount that.

Last I heard we were +120 to win the AAC Tourney. You gotta factor in if SMU doesn't get there to face us.

Agreed. However I do hope we get up a lot for rest purposes.

UC 73
Tulsa 52

The AAC Award voting really stirred up the hornet's nest. And clueless Frank Haith is going to pay for it.

I can already picture Frank Haith standing there, arms crossed, hand up by his face, blank look, trying to figure out why his team is down 27-9 more than halfway through the first half. He will come up with zero answers, and Tulsa will continue its downward spiral under his reign. Then in 2 years, just when NCAA sanctions are looming, he'll bail on them and take over at Chattanooga.
