Bill Nye the Science Guy must be jumping for joy! LOL

He was probably the one dunking them home

Not surprised at the result since that team can likely calculate the parabolic arc of the ball and the force required for maximum effectiveness.

I believe Ole Miss had 5 seniors and 4 juniors, or the reverse, so you had an experienced team playing one learning it's way. Would like to meet them later in the year. My bet would be UC would win.

You're assuming that Ole Miss' juniors and seniors don't continue to improve just like our youngsters. They whupped our arses pretty good. Hard to make the case that we would turn that around in a few months. The game was played on a neutral court and we didn't compete. We can point to guys on the present day roster who haven't improved much over years, much less months. They are discussed all the time on this forum.

I think we could've re-tipped 5 minutes after we lost that game and possibly come out with a win. They outplayed us for sure but nothing I saw from Ole Miss makes me think that they are that far ahead of us. They made tough shots that night, we made no shots. That kind of stuff happens all the time at the beginning of the year. I mean Xavier beat Long Beach State by 23, then lost to them 12 days later.

Us making no shots is a pretty common occurance. Not sure I'd bank on that being different in the next game. Then again, maybe what we saw against Stony Brook is the new norm! (Keeping fingers crossed!)

Us not making shots may not be that different (2-19 from 3 is pretty easy to top though), but Ole Miss did just score 54 at home vs TCU...so I think it may be different for them offensively. Moody had the game of his life against us, but he is shooting just 37% this year. Plus, side note, we were favored in that game. So since it was on a neutral floor and neither are huge public teams, it seems that Vegas had/has us ahead of Ole Miss in their power ranking. So I bet we'd be favored again.

ESPN has the UC game on Saturday. I guess that fact didn't fit your agenda.

Nice try but it's still a noon slot, couldn't get prime time if Santa got on his knees in front of those execs.

-Sorry, guess most of my issue with this is mental images of the past, ESPN games at the nip the past few years, noon on a Saturday, crummy weather slush falling from the sky and 10 people in the stands at the second half. *Shudder*

It is impossible to get a primetime game when every other game is a conference championship game. The noon slot on ESPN is as good as anyone could have gotten that weekend, plus we have the A+ team from ESPN with Mcdonough and McShay.

No not at all. I believe UC has a more talented roster with less experience.
