Kudos to Mick for finding Nsosome. I posted about how good he looked in the intrasquad and he had another strong showing last night. This guy looks to be a real "Diamond in the Rough". He has a phenomenal attitude, seems to work his tail off, and will probably just get better and better. Washington said this guy is going to be great and that he's glad he won't be here because he would be taking minutes from him in the coming years. I'm excited to see him develop.

Trevor Moore also continues to shine. I expected zero from him because his high school stats were unimpressive. What a pleasant surprise he has been.

I love that Mick is able to find these lesser known recruits that work hard and improve. That being said, I hope our continued success and ranking lead to a continued up-tick in recruiting talent. The future is looking bright!

Same for Brooks. If either of them can really turn into a consistent offensive threat like Gary/Kyle, the 5 spot will be in great shape.

I like how one of the things Mick said is we dont know what our depth is like until they do it against a high quality opponent. I think thats a great point. I dont think anybody doubts our bench guys can play against the lesser teams, they better be able to if they are coming here. The question is can they hold their own against the top teams. If Wash or Clark, or both get in foul trouble are we going to be able to stay in it until they can return.

I might be in the 1 % but I still think this is a concern. I dont care what they can do against 90% of the teams we play, I'm looking for much bigger things from this team. It is great Brooks is building confidence though, ride the wave.

Rotations always shrink though against good teams. I trust nysier and Scott to hold down the fort.

I heard Evans ran the point some last night. That’s always an option too

I think obviously they are going to find it tougher to score as the competition gets tougher. There is going to be some drop off from starter to sub...but it looks like we have a few players who can at the very least be serviceable.

Jenifer is a quality option. Brooks will find it harder going against bigger more talented guys but he is improved and he was doing pretty well toward the end of the season last year. As you have mentioned Moore has the quickest and best release from 3 which can translate in any game. Williams will get challenged more when he goes in the lane...but we wont need him to be a primary option so he can pick his spots.

I am getting more and more confident. We are still going to see them struggle for sure...but it looks like we have some BB players.

With the foul trouble we had in the first half, Jenifer and Broome were on the floor at the same time and I thought they played well together. Both of them got the ball up the floor quickly unless Mick told them to slow down. I thought Broome was a little too passive last night and didn't look to drive. That and the fouls were my only negatives from the game. I really enjoyed what I saw. Can't wait to see them again next Friday for the season opener.

I really like this group of freshmen- Keith W. is a future star (maybe this year)- Trevor M. looks to be the zone buster everybody needs- E. Nsoseme was looking for somebody to block out during warm-ups and I can't wait till CB and JJ run run their man into one of his screens. M. Diarra has not shown much so far but he is so long and his shot's not bad, I think he has the normal freshman hump to clear and will be a lot better than people think right now.

Man if he's always ready to shoot like that, he's going to be a super valuable player.

That seems to be what I have been hearing. Always has his feet set and underneath him. Shoulders square. Quick trigger. Nice release.

I could see us switching between Williams and Moore as the primary back up wing depending on the defensive matchup. They are both so different in what their primary strength is. One night we could need Williams more and one night it could be Moore.

Mick has so many options to throw out there right now.

I like how Keith and Trevor are not afraid to shoot or make a play. Ellie is always in "beast mode".
