RT @joereedy: A position by position breakdown of the 64 #bengals drafted during Marvin Lewis tenure http://bit.ly/brG3wY

Let's hope the Bengals don't blow the draft. Last year I gave them a fairly good grade. It's simple...take the TE or WR, maybe a CB in the 3rd round.

Bengals take TE Gresham w/ the first pick. Solid, and I like it.

Marvin Lewis kept saying "we will take the best player available, we dont have to draft for need anymore" so why the HELL not take DEZ BRYANT!! I hate this pick. Gresham hasn't played in 2 years. He has torn both his ACLs already. What makes us think he will stay healthy? And what about Chase Coffman?

I would have preferred Dez or Golden, but he's a solid pickup. Maybe they think Chase isn't the guy?

I like the pick. There are plenty of good WRs that will be available in round 2. Dez Bryant is a bit of a character risk (not that that has stopped the Bengals before) and TE is not deep this year. Pick up Gilyard in round and all is good!

Heck No!

UC guy yes, but he will not help this team. Give me the guy from GA Tech, if hes still around. That guy may be better than Dez anyway.

@BFeldmanESPN Interesting pick for Bengals w Gresham. Cincy TE coach Jonathan Hayes was on Bob Stoops' first staff at OU

They need a deep threat. Golden or Gilyard would be fine by me.

I dont see Gilyard as being a deep threat in the NFL. He is only 6' and ran a 4.6/4.5. He did well for UC, but its not that easy in the NFL. These DB's will be the same height if not taller and will run faster than the Big East competition.

If we needed a deep threat why not take DEZ BRYANT. Gilyard is what we already have in crosby, caldwell, jerome.

And here is why i disagree with taking Gresham. Especially after two knee injuries....

I think Marvin can find this man a spot! Voted SI.com Tight End of the decade.
Too bad we couldnt get the guy from GA Tech!!!

He's about as quick as they come. He might be a slot receiver, but I could see him lining him outside in some cases. He doesn't have to be lightening fast, but get good separation.

I think the Bengals are kicking themselves right now. They got Antonio Bryant cause they didnt think a guy like Dez would be available to them.

We do not need a slot receiver. We need a deep threat and apparently they feel Antonio Bryant is the answer. I strongly feel that Cosby will be placed in the slot. To me he is perfect for that spot. A version of Wes Welker. Short, quick, and fast who is able to catch in traffic, as seen towards the end of the season.

I put it this way. If Gilyard was not a bearcat and the bengals drafted him, I would be upset.

Facts. Most people on this site wont see it tho. Gilyard was an above average college talent who is to small and not fast enough to play in the NFL. Great Kick return guy, not a NFL type WR.

Eat Dirt.

We will see his production next year. Maybe he doesn't do much but I have seen this guy do great at everything he is asked to do.

You OSU and UF fans don't understand the idea not running a 4.3 and still be a great player.

Ugh. I hate that you and LL sound so much alike.

Please stay away from UC football forums.

Too many people fall in love with the combine and those numbers and don't pay attention to what a player does on the field. Give me someone who runs a 4.5 40 but makes plays over somone who runs a 4.29 40 and can't run a route unless it is a go route.

RT @joereedy: we now have a kicking competition. #bengals sign former Ohio Stater Mike Nugent to a two-year deal
