I am a big fan of not letting multi-millionaire players force the organization's hand. While I don't trust the Bengals to ever be consistently good (until Mike Brown leaves), I also don't trust them to know how to draft a good QB. I keep thinking back to Akili Smith and then I realize that there potentially is another one in the draft in Cam Newton and that makes me even more scared. If Carson wants to retire, then go ahead and retire. Even if the Bengals get a draft pick for him, does anyone really think they are going to do anything with it?
