Anyone here read the Katz book 'Bearcats Rising'? I asked for it, and did not receive it for Christmas. There's always my birthday, though.

If so, what did ya think?

If you have not read this book, go buy it now. I bought it the day it came out and read it in 3 days. I couldn't put it down. It is a fantastic book. Josh is a great writer and he really did his research. The way he put the book together was unique and it really gives you a great appreciation of the history of the program. I think each incoming class should be required to read it or at least certain parts of it so they understand what kind of tradition this program has. I think I will read it each year before the season starts to get me fired up!

Also, if you are an NBA fan, I suggest you buy Bill Simmons book, "The Book Of Basketball." Great read as well.

Bearcats Rising is great. It was better in November before Kelly left, but is an amazing read for any UC fan.

I would also suggest Tales from Cincinnati Bearcats Basketball, but Michael Perry. Written around 2004.

Meat Market is great as well. A very good look into recruiting.

Anyone other than myself read the 'Great Brain' book series by John D. Fitzgerald?

Classic stuff for kids.
