Cashmere Wright knee

Losing Cash hurts more than losing any other player. I fear we drop the next 2 without him playing.

Marquette mostly because of having to adjust to him not being there.

I feel for this kid and this team. Here is the adversity, hopefully he can come back healthy and it ends up helping us come March as others have had to live life on the court without Cash and have stepped up. Much like parker did last year playing tough when our Bigs were out.

A sprained knee is a very generic diagnosis. Which ligament? What degree of a sprain is it? If he is truly day to day then it must be a minor sprain...I've sprained my knee and it was a bitch but it was a bad sprain. No way would I have been able to play basketball on it for a least a month or so....Also, they told me that I wasn't at much risk of fully tearing it so hopefully that's the case for him too.

Sprained knees can vary in severity, he shouldn't have to miss a lot though.
Shame he hurt himself in what was going to easily be his best game. He left with 15 left and had 20 points and 8 assists.

I think just the thought of possibly losing 4 in a row at home gets them past Marquette, with or without Cash. They are a solid team, but could very well be 0-3 in conference play.

Luckily I have never had knee problems (knock on wood) so I really have no idea what it feels like to have a sprained knee, let alone the recovery time on it. Just hope it heels strong and quickly. I have faith in our medical staff that with some PT it will be all good.

Thank god we have so many people on this site that understand knee injuries......

i have had a sprained knee and it hurts worse than a broke leg. However the timetable to come back is quicker than expected most times. Flashes if armein kirkland coming back. Cash has tore it up lately and with the offense lackluster were definately fukd without him. Better hope sk has some 40 pt games in him. Were going to get destroyed..

The way he was moving around after the game I'd be surprised if he doesn't play Saturday. Either way the back up point guard position has to step up. I really wish JD3 was available. Just believe that even though he will turn the ball over, at least he can score.

IF it is serious season over. Guyn's best game of his career was last year at X after the buzzer.
this is definately the funniest thing i have heard in a while. Peed alittle reading this.guyns best game and yanceys highest effort input ever. If cash cant go. Start guyn and hope that jp and sk can handle the ball without tos..

I'm hearing Cash won't play from one source. Another source says 50/50 chance.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Cashmere Wright was not expected to practice Thursday but Mick Cronin said that doesn’t mean he won’t play Saturday against Marquette. Cronin said there are a lot of days when Wright doesn’t practice as a precaution so that he doesn’t put too much strain on his surgically repaired left knee.

I'd rather rest cash until he is absolutely ready, I don't care about the regular season as long as we are their in the end, rest him until he is absolutely 100% for me. I'd rather gamble on us making the tourney without cash and having a chance at a national championship with him come tourney time, but without cash their is absolutely no way we even have a chance, It kind of reminds me of NC State when they won it with Jimmy V, they had two kids who were injured and then won it as like a 7 seed or something.

I wonder if JD III's injury is healed, if cronin would consider playing him midway through the season and get rid of his redshirt for this season...

Like I said. I heard 50/50 chance. He's got all day today, tomorrow, and up until 7:00 game time to feel better.

If there is any chance of more damage to the knee this weekend, they have to sit him these next two games. Take our chances with Marquette and take the loss at Syracuse. Then we don't have another game until the 30th. It's not worth him rushing back and jeopardizing the rest of our season. I trust them to do the right thing.

Horrible idea.
