Early? Probably. Cats recover from the l'ville heart breaker with a big road win 67-59.

Never too early. Could definitely use something to get my mind off the game today..

Winning this game will definitely make up for the loss today. Cincinnati played a lot like they did today in the last match up, having to rely so much on Kilpatrick but they were able to get the W...if the same thing happens in their place,UC will lose fairly handily.

I think UC will come out jacked up and will be ready to play. The key will be running them off the three point line and keeping Jackson out of foul trouble.

I think if we win this one we should at least share the conference title. Memphis really doesn't scare me at home.

This will definitely be a tough one. Gampel is never an easy place to play and they were damn close to beating us at home. Expecting another nail biter similar to today. Not predicting a score yet.

EDIT: Unless it's at XL to sell more tickets, which is pretty likely. I'd rather play there. More people there but less intimate and not as loud, I believe.

The game is being played at the XL Center, which I agree, is a much less intimate environment.

I think Napier is overrated. He is a good player, but I thought it was crazy when Tim Wlech said he was the best player in the AAC the other day. SK and Russ are better, IMO. Russ does some acting, but Napier does it constantly.

Napier is really, really good player. He averages 18 points (41% on three's), 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals a game. He is also a very clutch player. According to that Value Add Basketball site you showed me, he is #2 in the country (Kilpatrick is #4). Easily could argue he is POY, but I'd give it to Kilpatrick.

They haven't updated those stats since mid-January. I just like Smith/SK more. Watch Napier play, he is a great actor. Both he and Smith do that "fall down to make it look like I got fouled" every time they shoot. I'm not saying Napier isn't a good player, just think he gets a lot of calls. Could argue the same thing for SK and Smith, however.

I don't think Russ Smith is a very good player at all. The dagger yesterday was nice but every time we play him all i see are a bunch of ridiculous shots with no chance of going in and mindless turnovers.

And nearly making a basket for the wrong team. How great would that have been if that went in and we won by 1 instead of lost by 1. Not impressed with Russ Smith, nice shot to win the game though. I'd take 1. SK, 2. Napier all day over Smith

That wasn't Russ Smith, that was the freshman Rosier. I love SK, but is hard to argue with the career Smith has had. He, like SK, wasn't heavily recruited but has blossomed into a great player. Yes he can make some boneheaded mistakes but I'd take 2 Final Fours and a National Title (w/ another NCAA tourney to go) for my starting two guard.

Ah, from the rafters we thought it was Smith, I'd still take SK and Napier over Smith. Siva, Deng, Behanon and Hancock had as much to do with their NC as Smith.

But sk carried a team by himself to a top ten ranking. Louisville would still be competitive without russ and has much more talent as a whole. So going into every game teams focus on sk and he still averages high numbers that's what makes him better in my opinion.

Louisville's walk ons have national championships as well but that doesnt mean they are any better than our Walk Ons.

What's up fellas? New member here. Die hard Cincy fan from Connecticut. Will be there this Saturday to witness the spanking that I expect The Real UC to hand out. Glad to be apart of these boards!

I look for UCONN to be about a 3.5 favorite in this one, CATS need this one bad just for the heartbreaker last Saturday and to try and get this thing going into March with a big win on the road. JJ has to limit his fouls, and Shaq neeeds a big game in the worse way to get some confidence back, would love to see Rubles keep it up on the boards and TC get in double figures. GO BEARCATS!

HUSKIES-61 SK drains 2 free throws and Naiper misses a 3 at the buzzer

I agree with you on this. We a be scary good if Davis, Mormon or KJ would've been able to contribute. If we want to make any noise in dance either OJ, Lawrence or Big Dave are gone to have Breakout games.

We need to come first play with back door lob dunk for Thomas. Thomas and Guyn need to spend 2hrs after practice just dunking. All that athleticism and I've NEVER seen either one try to dunk in traffic. Shaq is probably highest jumper in college at not only shoots layups in traffic bit he ducks like his scared of contact.
