People love Monmouth's bench though and there will be so much love for them if they make the tourney and win their first game.

Not saying they deserve to be in but people know Monmouth because of their bench and the selection committee knows people will watch them.

I get what you're saying. But, if they get in because they have an entertaining childish bench, we have bigger problems to worry about. They should not get in.

Gonzaga vs st. Mary's tonight for the wcc championship, right now lunardi has st Mary's as a 9 seed and I don't think he has the zags in the field at all so probably hoping for a st Mary's win tonight

Jon Rothstein has been tweeting lately how Monmouth's resume is better than Valpo's and Wichita State's, which I agree with. I don't think any of them deserve it, especially losing in their mid-major conference tourney's, but, Wichita and Monmouth will both be in regardless.

Lunardi has us as a 9 playing South Carolina...winner gets Virginia.

It's a safe 9 too. However, let's handle business this week.

This link shows over 100 "Bracketologist" predictions over the years and has them listed from most accurate to least.

Skimming over the first 4 or 5 most accurate bracketologist brackets they have UC safely in.

In my own judgment I believe UC is safely in even if they lose to UConn. A loss Friday puts Cincy playing in Dayton.

Looks like Syracuse is going to lose to Pitt,

They have a win @ duke and Norte dame at home, but they lost to St. John's.

A lot of teams on the bubble with decent resume's this Sunday will be stressful.

If we can beat uconn, we can lose to temple and be fine.

And were better shape RPI wise if we lose to Uconn than Syracuse is or wichita state or monmouth

I'll be concerned if we lose to UConn that we could get hosed. But in reality, I'm majorly concerned about playing in Dayton if we lose to UConn. I always feel like the teams who lose in Dayton weren't ever truly a part of the tourney..

Wow. Just turned on CBSN. They were showing conf tourney highlights. First 2 teams they show scoring in 80's or more: if memory serves: Duke 92 -89 over NC St then GT, Clemson I think tied 80 -80 to OT.
Mick has gotta take the leap and go for a philosophy change. Doogle is right, it is hard for him to change, but he has to. HAS TO. This is not an attack. Just a comment. The elephant is in the room.

Next contract has to be with Nike. Wouldn't we make our money back with tournament money? Nike guides so many players to Nike schools. It is hard to compete without the big time players.NTS and others...comments??? Sorry for hijacking thread.

So your saying you'd rather be like nc state and score a lot of points and lose.

Playing great defense is not a philosophy he HAS TO CHANGE. Finding players to do both is what is needed.

I get the point but coaching all areas matters. NC State is LOADED with top 100 recruits. They went 16-17 this year. I wish the Bearcats would score 80 every game but that would matter a whole lot less if we had that record. I want to WIN regardless of style. We need more talented players. I think it just comes down to that. This season I have watched time after time, player after player, miss two foot layups and WIDE open three pointers. If you are a big time D1 player those are shots you do not miss with regularity. We missed them constantly this year. I have my issues with Mick but what can he do from a coaching perspective with this problem? He cant shoot it for them. He can work on technique and mindset but at the end of the day on the offensive side those guys have to put the ball in the basket. The biggest issues I see with the offense seem to all come back to recruiting. Dont have a true point guard. Dont have consistent good shooters. Lack a true go to guy ect.... They are a good team collectively but not a great one. They don't need a change in philosophy, they need better players plain and simple.
