I cant see how we wont be 7. #6 Kansas got embarrassed, we will be ahead of them. #7 MSU lost to a nine loss georgetown team. if we are 8 or 9 that means those two teams did not drop at all, i cant see that happening

Michigan State also won on the road against Iowa this week. That was a pretty good win. I think Cincinnati will be 8 or 9 as well...

That's a good win but gtown is a terrible loss. If we are 8 that means they did not drop one spot, I feel they will drop to like ten. I see what your saying tho and it is smu but I think we will be 7. Msu has to drop a little gtown blows

You never know someone behind us could jump us that's why I think 8.

Kansas gets killed and drops one spot, Mich st loses to a horrible team and moves up.....wow Seth that's horrible. We should be 6 this stuff pisses me off, it's so hard for those teams to drop out of the top 10

My math was off I think we should be 6th, but I know the voters are weird. Any single digit ranking is a great accomplishment. Beat uconn and keep moving up.

Seth Davis does a good job of not overreacting each week. He ranks teams where they should be, not dropping or raising teams too much based on one game.

Michigan State is down two starters and won on the road at Iowa. That was a pretty good win, and the loss to Georgetown was practically meaningless.

QFT
People expect way to much movement from a given game or week.

I'm guessing 7th in the AP. If that's the case, how long has it been since we've been ranked that high? I know our highest last year was 8. I remember we were as high as #5 or 6 in that '03-04 season (but then got smoked @ Freedom Hall and our ranking plummeted). I'm guessing that's the last time.

I don't really care how high they go. I'd keep them in the 9-12 range. Big road win, but UL hadn't beat a ranked team all year. Just want to keep winning.

Jeff, you are correct that they haven't had a real quality win this season, but from a national perspective the win over Louisville was much bigger than anything all season. I'd say we end up around 7-8.

Called it lol

Not that it matters, but UC is ranked # 4 by the Sportsnation poll including the second most #1 votes with over 600. Obviously this poll of 5,200+ fans means nothing except either a lot of UC fans are on Sportsnation, or UC is gaining respect from the casual fan around the nation.
