I think Troy Caupain if he remains healthy will be very good for the next three years. I would have like to have seen what Cash could have been without injury.

Absolutely Jeff and I want to be careful, I don't want to disrespect Cash at all, he was excellent for us, I think we are all just optimistic that TC can be even better which is a huge compliment to both of the young men.

His assist to turnover ratio is 1.8 if he can get that above 2 before years end He'd be at the low end of where you want him but some of that has to do with guys not finishing. He averages 2.3 apg and 1.3 tpg as well as 1.1 spg and 2.7 rpg. He is shooting 42% from the field, one tick under 43% from 3 and .745% from the ft line. All in all a very solid freshman year so far.

Like how Troy Caupain's poor shooting (1-8 last two games) hasn't inhibited other things. Had 5 assists vs. Temple. 6 rebounds vs. USF.

They are really screwing us at the polls....

UC is easily one of the top 5 teams in the country.

We are better than Ariloona, Suckacuse, Mushigan state, Vileanova, Whichita State?, Floridont, Sans Diego Suck, and some others.

The field is wide open this year, ladies and gentlemen. And your Cincinnati Bearcats are about to take the NCAA tourney by storm. We can easily make a run to the title game. Why not? Name me one dominant team UC doesn't match up well with?

Not biting; just want the people that aren't UC fans checking out this forum to know that not all UC fans are like BearcatMick.

I want the Louisville game to get here badly, we need to face a good team so that we stop playing to the level of our competition.

You just know that I'm correct. Seriously, who is anyone afraid of this year? Ariloona? please. Suckacuse? No way. There aren't any DOMINANT teams. UC matches up as well as anyone against them. Our defense is the best in the country and we can play with anyone on any given night.

The only loss I see the rest of the way in the conference regular season is at Loserville. I think we finish with one loss in conference

Well said.

Right on cue to what I was saying earlier in the week, #12 UMass was running on borrowed time. They just lost to Richmond 58-55. UC should pass them in the polls now.

about to be overrated

With #'s 9, 10, 13 all losing, UC is poised to move up in the rankings. i think maybe a little too high. The Cats are becoming a pretty good team...top ten? At this point, I don't think so. I fear that since their loss to Memphis, the sleeping giant that is Louisville has awakened. They are destroying everyone they play now. I know comparative scores don't mean all that much, but when I see teams we've defeated by a point or by pulling ahead in the last few minutes and then see Loserville trounce them by 40, I kind of think we'll get a butt-whuppin' in L-ville. I hope I'm wrong, but realistically, without Lawrence (who by now I'd hoped would be coming into his own) I see a bad moon a risin'.

Talk me off the ledge.

Personally, I dont think we will beat UL this year, even when we play them at home. Its just my opinion but I think its a horrible match up for us. Mainly because I think we will have major issues scoring against them. They have some serious size so unless our 3s are going in it will be tough for us to get points in the paint. Also, they have some serious talent offensively too. Smith, hancock, Harrell, blackshear I just think its too much for us. Its college basketball so we have a chance at beating them I just think its unlikely. Pitno will know how to play defense against us and I just think we will struggle to score enough points.
The good news is there are two teams in our league that can beat them too. If we can split UConn and UL we will be sitting pretty. Regardless there is a ton of basketball to be played and a lot can happen. Who knows, UL could come down a little and go on a streak streak. Ya never know.

I think we will split with UL and UConn and lose at SMU to finish with 3 conference losses. Louisville is playing really good offensively right now.

So where do we think UC will land in the polls this week? I don't see any higher than 11, which is fine, because then we are getting ahead of ourselves at that point.

They will definitely pass UMass and I think they pass Iowa to get to #13. I could possibly see 12. I agree that UC is probably isn't that good but it does give the Cats some cushion to remain in the top 20 should they lose to UofL.
