Miller on hot seat(In my world). He didn't bring Isiah(only way i was giving him job), couldn't keep Tari/Williams/Harvey, didn't offer Mcmillan, and still hasn't offered best ohio prospect since Lebron.

Yea, he talks well with the media but can’t get the guys to play hard. As much as I disliked mick due to his bad recruiting and shit offense at least he motivated inferior talented team to play hard. Our guys just stand around, get blown by, lose there man, and don’t put effort into anything. Mason should have left with his bro, who is riding the bench at Utah.

Miller is nowhere close to the hot seat. He will get three years minimum unless he pulls a Brannen and self-destructs the program. Of our three incoming recruits, the lowest is ranked 158.

Yea and the highest is like 140

Edit. My mistake skillings is 112. But zero top 100 players or interest.

Meanwhile X has the #44 and 59 ranked player coming to a program who has missed the ncaa for 4 years.

Time to start developing the future. In particular I would like to see a LOT more of Vik and little more of Mike. They both have a lot to learn and we need them both to learn as quickly as possible for next season. DD needs to be out there as well.

Either JD or Newman at the 3 based on offense or defense. Still not sold on Hensley...but let's test him too.

Koval is 4th big. Ody is 3. Ado is 2. Vik is 1

MAW and Madsen can back up DD depending on who has made a 3 pointer. let's see what McGinnis can do.

In my world, he gets next year improve offense. He picked couple guys over Williams. No excuse he doesn't have right players for system. Tallest team in history of UC has no business being out rebounded. Y'all talk about Penny, call a spade a spade, this is D2 AAU ball.

He was also doing the zip em up motion as he walked out.
Lets all stop being p_ _sies about this. are you kidding? We're upset because of zip em up or coaches inspiring them. When the GREATEST coach ever Huggs didnt have issues with his teams (nor did I) predicting win or Mick allowing players to go on radio and say things like no one on X would start on UC but this bothers you. How about we just beat their arses on a consistent basis. One of my X buddies said X has won 18 of last 28. Thats ridiculous. I was at the game and was actually treated very well. A few obnoxious comments were made but not directed at me and i have heard same at 5/3. X is simply a way better program right now. Who on UC would start on X's team-NO ONE. I'm not an apologist for Miller but he inherited a tough situation and has already beaten Illinois and gave Arkansas all they can handle. He is the guy. Macura, Freemantle, Holloway, and Lyons are punks but we have had our share. This only bothers you because UC lost. Win and this is a non-event.

The only thing that pisses me off is that my buddy said we as fans would complain about X schedule in the MCC and A-10 when they started reaching the tourney regularly. They said its funny how now we have a crap football schedule and feel we deserve it. Were talking smack about Navy, Tulsa, and the AAC in general. I told them to get a football team first then come back to me.

Coach Miller is our guy

Can't believe how much he is getting drilled. He inherited a sinking ship and has beaten Illinois and took Arkansas to the last minute. He had to move many of his MAC players to fill a roster. His Eggs-zavier shot doesnt look good but took a lot of balls considering we have now lost 18 or last 28 but i believe in him. He has a good recruiting class next year and the Big 12 will help.

I was responding to another’s post saying x is classless a-holes. I agree with him. But you’re right we should just win, the problem is we devoted 12 years to a mediocre coach who couldn’t recruit and got his ass handed to him by x, then hired and fired a coach in 2 years because our players were soft babies, and now have a coach that can’t coach offense, defense, or understand a rotation for our mediocre players. Illinois was overrated and so was Arkansas.

Anyway, yes it would be nice to beat x but Miller isn’t the guy. Just another loser who can’t recruit top players… while x is getting top 100 players all the time.

Sounds like you may be an x type person though, congrats.

No, he is shit. His class next year isn’t even as good as x’s. Should have known he was bad when he had to bring 3-4 players with him from Greensboro. But hey, he can talk to the media well.

Sounds like you have decided to assume Justin's role as the negative troll. Guess it was too much to hope we wouldn't have one now that Brannen's gone and Justin doesn't fill the role anymore.

Xavier is better than every team in our conference not named Houston. We still have a decent shot at making the tournament this year if we don't slip up too much against the bottom half of our bad league and beat teams in the top half at home. Our players aren't great and the coaching leaves a lot to be desired, but this was always expected to be a transition year. We knew from the outset that we were bringing in poor rebounders and a coach who doesn't run offense. Let's see what happens with a roster full of players that Wes develops.

In Lakhin's case his production on a minutes per played basis is really high. I'm of the belief it is now that this kid needs to start and get 25-28 minutes a game. He is averaging 15 minutes a game. This is borderline criminal right now. Avg 7.5/5.5 in those minutes. He's a double double every night if Wes would allow him 25 plus minutes.
Lakhin generally fouls too much for that. Like most freshmen, his foul and turnover rates are really high. He's averaging 5 fouls per 20 minutes against top 100 opponents (6 fouls in 30 combined minutes against Illinois & Arkansas, had 3 in 16 minutes against X, and fouled out in just 8 minutes at Miami).

Just giving Wes the same as you and justin gave our prior coach. Also not looking forward to another outclassed coach like mick was. You get out coached by steele you have a problem.

But hey this board is already pretty much dead because of you and justin so who cares.

Our only chance of making the tourney will be winning the conference tournament. What good wins could we potentially have left other than UH? And if we beat them it would probably hurt them more than it would help us.

Looking at the box score, the difference in this game was the free throw line, where X outscored us by 16. We couldn't stop fouling them, and Wes Miller's offenses never generate trips to the stripe. They also outscored us by 12 at the rim (because we converted an abysmal 40%), but we offset that a bit by making a couple more threes.

I feel like vs Arkansas he had some terrible offensive fouls called on him quickly. But as talentless this team is I’d let him figure it out on the court.

@Memphis, @Wichita, Memphis, Wichita, @UCF, @SMU. Those are the Q1/2 games left aside from Houston. And it's possible road games against Temple or ECU could be Q2 depending on how things shake out.

That’s much better than I thought. Still, a tall task for what this team has shown.

you're kidding me

We are crying over zip em up. Lets just take it for what it is.We got beat by a better team. Heck, they cried when Nelson predicted a win and we loved it. They cried when my man didnt shake the leprechaun's hand and i loved it. They have beaten us 18 of 28. Lets lick our wounds and be better rather than finding something to poke on them to somehow save face. I love Miller mispronouncing eggsavier. Both schools have had their share of thugs (Macura, Price, Burton. Long, Patterson). lets not be babies because we lost.

they keep crying that we dragged their old A-10 schedule through the mud during their success and now they are ripping us for our football SOS. Lets not sink to their level

At this point I would put Vik and Mike in to start and let them get in foul trouble if we have to. That may be the only way for them to learn what they can and can't get away with. We have players behind them who can fill in if need be.

Play the hot hand. MAW is ice cold. Mason hasn't done much for a long time now. Mikey is hitting 3's and FT's. He's a menace on the ball. Vik is the only guy who can create volume paint scoring and he's our best rebounder. If he gets tired he gets tired. Take him out for a breather and stick him back in.
