Although I enjoyed the current 5/3, this is still very much good news.

If what everybody's been saying on here is correct, we can now expect recruiting to make a huge jump.

Not huge, but I think it will help. At least once kids are able to start stepping in the new building.

Conference affiliation/exposure is bigger though, IMO.

It's all linked. Upgraded facilitites will give UC a better chance to move into a better conference which would help improve recruiting. Even without a move in conference, the upgraded facilities will definitely help recruiting. Kids want to go play in a place that either has a lot of history or has a bunch of new amenities. Updated locker rooms, etc will have a nice impact as well.

I assumed this was already approved. Organizations at UC have been told for a while that 5/3rd will be off limits due to construction after basketball season.

I believe it's Populous's official pitch to UC. I'm sure it's not perfect and things will change in the building process, but I think those recent ones we dug up are pretty close to what it will look like. But I could be wrong.

I think it looks good too. Need more amenities at our games. More food offerings, craft beers, maybe even a place for dinner, wine etc. I am one however that feels we are giving up too many seats. I would like to see the capacity anywhere from 11.5 to 12.5.

Those designs look sick! Love the more modern look and open concept. I know it's not final, but this is going to look great in a couple years.

I'll like roof to be more attractive if were replacing it. Don't like idea of kiosks either.
