I seriously doubt it is Ohio State. They have had a huge grudge since 62 and only played UC once since when they had Cedric McGowan and Ronald Allen, why would they drop that and the fact that they could be down and lose, just not seeing it. Maybe Holtman looked and saw no clark and no Washington and agreed.

Maybe Michigan actually decided to show up and play? 😂 Totally kidding. It would be cool if it was someone like UK, Duke, UNC, or Kansas.

I feel like it has to be one of those to tease it like that. I can't see them coming tho. Maybe a 2 for 1 deal or something

Whoever it is, our home schedule should be good next year. If we can get in a good pres season tourney it'd be a great start to the schedule

If it is finalized what is the point of not telling the fans? Hoping it's not OSU but I imagine it is, I just don't see the need to be tight-lipped about this.

yeah, I'd rather one of the blue bloods over OSU. That does nothing for me. they are terrible

Holtmann had said something about having some of the local teams playing each other since being at Ohio state. I don't think the athletic department was too fond of his idea, but my guess is they came around. I'm hoping it's a blue bloods though, like UK, or Kansas, or Duke. Gut tells me WVU or OSU

Decent news, definitely better options out there, but none probably wanted to come to Clifton. UCLA, X and OSU is a nice OOC home sched. I do credit Holtman for having some balls and wanting to schedule this.

Yes! That's great! I REALLY hope we play them every year from here on out.

I think it's awesome! We have been wanting OSU to take us on for years and years and now we finally get it when we are not in a rebuilding year. What more can we ask? It's time to take back the state of OH!! Historically speaking there is not a program in OH that is better than ours...depending on how you want to break it down.

On paper OSU maybe doesn't have the shock factor that playing a game against Duke, Kansas, MSU, UNC or UK would have but I think it's the in-state rival thing that makes this more appealing that a random one off with any of the teams listed above.

It's a home and home so let's hope it can get extended and become a series. It would be great to be able to look forward to another rivalry game year in and year out.

Since it is OSU, UC should assemble the 61 and 62 teams that beat OSU in the final 4 consecutive years and celebrate their accomplishments at halftime.

More important than a rivalry game, a sellout OOC game

Rivalry games typically sellout (see the crosstown shootout), I'd be willing to bet top dollar that should this series continue into the future any game we play at home vs OSU would be a sell out. That is assuming our program stays somewhat relevant.
