I know this isn't news but this administration isn't firing Mick. Look the two programs that drive the revenue train are Basketball and Football. Mainly Football. While the fan base isn't thrilled with our early exits in the NCAA no way the Administration makes a move with Mick until they see what kind of results Fickell can deliver. We have another losing season or two in Football and attendance will be back to where it was in my youth. This after a hefty investment. With Mick, his results have been consistent if not spectacular. I really can't see them rolling the dice in both programs until they see what they have in our Football coach. Right now the jury is still out. Heck they begged him to stay after he accepted the UNLV job should be telling in itself. They may get a bump with a new guy and the new arena but if he doesn't produce up to where Mick has then it could get extremely ugly. Couple that with Football not doing well and you'd have athletic department buried in the red. Mick adds stability right now and I think that is much needed with all the money they spent in improvements. Really can not see them rolling the dice at this time.
Just my humble opinion.
