Yeah, MAW is one of quite a few PG's we have been recruiting and he doesn't really stick out from the pack. I'd be glad if he signed with us, but a miss isn't the end of the world. As long as we get one of the PG options we should be fine. If we miss on everyone, then we have a problem. Supposedly Jaevin should be committing soon (today or tomorrow), so maybe the dancing bearcat is actually for him.

Though if we don't hear anything more by the end of today, I will start to wonder if the coaching staff messed up and put up the dancing bearcat too soon.

I agree with everything you said. But I don't think the staff would be teasing anything without a verbal commit. If the player backs out...that is a bad look for the player and probably not one we would want here in that case. When you give someone your word...you should stick to it. I don't think the coach would tease a "maybe" or "probably" type of commit.

But again...we are getting ahead of ourselves. Let's see what happens.

Yeah and MAW isn't a true PG. He played off ball quite a bit and prefers to shoot. I know two names we are linked to are Nah'shon Hyland and Shakeel Moore. Both are more of the two are true PG types, Moore is the more college ready (Hyland is nicknamed bones because he is 6'3" and 165#).

Moore would be a fun player to watch and I'm hoping we get him. He's only 6'0" or 6'1" but highlights show him dunking easily with either hand during games (and not just breakaway dunks either). He also works hard on the defensive end. I think he's more of a passer than a shooter, but can do either.
At worst he would be a fun to watch, high energy, highlight reel type player early in his career and hopefully develop into a star.
