so UC traded the #44 shooting guard to Nebraska for the #38 point guard? Who wins?

Nebraska wins, Samari is ranked about 50 spots higher on 247's composite and 100 higher by 247. But that doesn't mean Adams-Woods is a bad player. Also even though MAW is listed as a PG, he is not a true pass first type PG and didn't always handle PG duties for his team. He may end up as a SG.

He reminds me of Kevin Johnson. Both good, but not elite athletes. Both good shooters. MAW hopefully a better decision maker and ball handler early on in his career. A solid 4 year guy who isn't likely to be the main go to guy.

Samari has the potential to be the star, go to guy that can carry a team later in his career. I don't see that as much in MAW, but we need good role players and shooters and MAW checks both those boxes.

Both good shooters? Yikes, I'd hate to see what you consider a bad shooter. I hope MAW is a better shooter than KJ, who was a career 32% shooter from beyond the arc.

Wow, I really thought Johnson was in the mid to high 30's. Okay, hopefully MAW is a better version of Johnson. But they seem to have a similar body type and similar play style. Hopefully MAW can shoot at a higher percentage and make fewer offensive mistakes.

KJ was known for making his first 3, then thinking he was enfuego would go on to miss his next five. Not a good outside shooter.

If we get Jaevin then I think our starting line up is the following...

1. McNeal
2. Jarron
3. KW
4. Jaevin
5. Scott

Or

1. Jarron
2. KW
3. Jaevin
4. Scott
5. Diarra

I would probably go heavier on a few

Cumberland 35
Scott 35
Williams 30
Jaevin 30

Who would you take the 25 minutes (collectively) away from in turn?

So hard to guess with not a lot of experience but the other 4 would seem to be heads and tails above the rest (at this point). So I guess I would just take a few minutes from all of them. Maybe I am heavy on those 4 by a little.

Sorolla isn't even on board yet and he got only 20 at Valpo so I would probably take 10 from him. If Jaevin commits you can probably downgrade McNeal at least 5 minutes.

Assuming we get Jaevin and Sorolla, which is a pretty big assumption (if Jaevin was coming I think he would have committed by now, and I'm hoping we find a better C than Sorolla). I'm not convinced that McNeal or Sorolla are more than role-players.

PG - McNeal (10), Jarron (20), MAW (10)
SG - Jarron (10), Jaevin (25), Moore (5)
SF - Williams (25), Moore (10), Davenport/Hardnett/Toyambi (5)

Williams got 26 mpg last year and we lost Jenifer, Broome, Johnson, Fredericks. I don't see him getting 25 this year (a reduction). Trevon was at 30.5 mpg and Brooks and Eliel are gone and Vogt is a sit out. 30 mpg is a reduction. Cumberland was at 32.5 mpg and again we lost Jenifer, Broome, and Johnson. 30 is a reduction.

I see additional minutes for them not reductions. They are the only proven talents at this level. Jaevin seems like a 30 mpg guy as well so I don't know where all the minutes come from.

Sorolla sucks, he was bad for a bad valpo team, if he comes I would be horrified if he started.... very Adam H like.....

Every day that goes by I think it’s less and less likely Jaevin ends up here
