Getting board back on track

We have lost several good posters due to the nonsense of some posters on this site. Those who only want to stir trouble, relive the past, and engage in personal attacks will be banned permanently. There are people that care about this board and I get pm's from them on a regular basis. I am going to do what I can to save it or I'm moving on. This was a great board till a few brought it down. I'd appreciate your help in fixing it. I have banned DontMissHim. He can post on a Xavier board. I want people that love UC on this one.

Jeff, its a shame you have to spend your time on this nonsense with a huge 4 game stretch upon us. As mentioned previously I came over from Cincy.com. I'm not a twitter person and couldn't post anymore. The reason they went to twitter was because people were continually posting junk,particulary about MC. You had people using multiple ideas posting trash everyday. I am sure you have eliminated some of that crowd but many remain out there. Love your site and think you do a great job reporting good info. I followed your site long before I started posting on it. Keep up the good work.

I will accept blame for the Dontmisshim thing. I baited the response without a doubt.

We are and will always be a message board that will self police ourselfs. When somebody gets overwhelming we will step in to keep the board in the best interest of the site which is what jeff did with dontmisshim

It's not about sensitivity. It's about being intentionally inflammatory and taking threads off track and dragging them into arguments. We aren't here to talk Xavier hoops, except during the shootout. This is a UC board. The question was where did you go now that UC is winning and X had tanked. You took it to a pissing contest.

Glad to be back and look forward to a positive experience on this site. Great year for the football bearcats and really like the style of the basketball Bearcats. Good recruiting information here , no doubt. I appreciate all the hard work. Last year was great for the basketball team and it looks like a contender again this year. Sometimes you need a dilema to reinvent yourself.GO CATS!!!!!!

I was just messing around, and it was in an "OT" thread. I can understand being upset with derailing the Titus Rubles thread, but its not an issue unless all the "productive" threads are derailed.

I've always enjoyed this site and usually try not to respond to certain posters on here. For whatever reason some people use internet message boards as means to show they're a tough guy. I haven't been able to respond on some threads here lately because of these pissing contests that take place. Jeff I encourage and applaud your efforts to clean the board up.

Just wondering, what exactly did DontMissHim do? A thread asked where the two Xavier fans went after the crosstown and he came in and discussed the Xavier UC game. (Granted, he may have posted a bunch of trash in UC threads? If so, my apologies. I just don't see what was done to deserve a ban)

No explanations for bans anymore? Man. You are becoming power hungry. A Mod that doesn't put personal bias aside tends to run off posters, keep that in mind. I believe I recall he was one of the early members that helped the boom of BCT.

I was rude and I am sorry for that. I posted why the ban happened. Post:

We are working on more defined guidelines and hope to have them up soon. Hopefully we find that balance between fun, lively talk and debate and keeping threads going in the right direction.

All need to understand we get pm's from people asking us to please keep this site the way it's been and not let people turn it into a site of UC pissing matches. We are trying to honor those other long time members as well.
