Getting board back on track

I know I'm not a real regular, but I do read daily. Jeff I fully support your stance and appreciate you taking it. Keep up the good work!
 
It is downright astounding that some people on this board take certain posters so literlly. Ralph, LL, KCourt all have their little persona's.

You should know that Ralph always exhaggerates Mick, you should know that NTS is a bitter bitter man who is never happy, you should know Jeff is going to give quality recruiting info and the_one_32 gives goes out more on a limb and looks for the homerun stories.

To that point, you should all know where you are. This is not BCN. I loved that website and still do. We have a different flavor than BCN or BCL.

- We have never been overly strict. If you want to use language, post youtube videos, have chicks as your avatar, that is all fine. This is a site for bearcat fans to talk about UC and sports. I like the flavor that some posters give. We have a small group but I think it is a very entertaining group.

- We provide undoubtably the best free recruiting news for UC sports. You can purchase memberships at other bearcat sites (and I have in the past) and it is astounding how close we come to offering the same service for free. I have said it numerous times, Jeff and Jason are the BEST at what they do with free uc recruiting news.

G1 I agree to a large extent but read the posts across the board and you'll see people are overwhelmimg in support of cleaning some of this up. I believe we can still have fun but most want a lot of this stopped.
 
It's funny, all boards, no matter the topic, has the same issues. But it's like the war on drugs. It is futile to ban members here and there, the only way to stop trolling on a messageboard if for everyone to ignore the trolls. You ban one, another takes it's place. You ban too many people and you end up having a board where the same 3 people stroke each others egos and agree with everything said. Just my 2 cents.

By the way, I love the recruiting info on this board, best on Al Gore's interweb.
 
Is being a legend really a persona???

Is there any way I can charge people, per read, of my basketball analysis. Its brilliant!
 
This board is simply going through the same growing pains as any other board as it gets larger. You're doing the right thing by trying to be proactive with the troublemakers. We waited too long on BCN and ended up with so much arguing and name calling that the basketball forum was intolerable to read. Trust me that's not where you want to end up because it's hard to dig out from that deep of a hole.

I believe that I was unfairly banned. Not banned because I broke any of the rules but because BearcatJeff didn't agree with an argument I was making. It was a bush-league move, someone needs to moderate these moderators.

Hello everyone. New to this board, venturing here after a long stay at BCN, but notice a lot of the old and same names here, but some good discussions. This board seems more lively and I am excited to contribute some. It is good to see you curbing the issues that have plagued BCN over the past year or so.

This is kinda random but I didnt see where this fits in buuuuut, I'm having afew drinks and realized that G'Town loses to us at home but does not drop spots? Apparently we are good enough to not make people drop when we beat them but can't get no love when we win.....I am not surprised but felt like sharing my idea. I think we get the W tmrw at UConn! That is all...Go Cats!

Going along with this,

I'm tired of watching these BE games on ESPN. More so the halftime reports when they talk about the teams in the BE that are playing well. They give no love to the Cats. They jerk off Seton Hall, but nothing about UC. Makes me mad

Hopefully its keeping the Cats hungry!
