Last night I was out with some friends. Some were UC fans and some OSU which is fine. We started talking about the upcoming season and of coarse it turned into OSU would destroy UC. UC couldnt stay within 4 touchdowns.

I find it hard to believe that UC could not beat OSU last year as Pyror was still inconsistent at times. When you lose to Purdue I refuse to believe there is no way of a top 10 team would have a chance.

He told me Purdue would finish 2nd in the Big East... I just had to laugh at that one. He is 100 % Big Ten and OSU which is cool but he honestly believes they are the best conference and it isnt close.

He went on and on about how Dantonio being the reason UC has had this surge. Dantonio did a good job and left us better than we found it but the best thing he could have done for us is leave so we could bring it BK.

I told him I would take Collaros over Pyror if I could pick right now (and I would). I wouldnt trade our offense for anyones in the country but OSU's defense is way better no doubt.

I decided to have some fun then. I started saying the OSU might be able to beat the Big 10 teams but havent beat SEC or.... The Mountain West.

Then I told him I would take Iasiah Pead over Eddie George in their prime because Eddie "ran too high".

He told me if OSU did play UC at PBS they would out number UC and I dont think that would be freakin close. UC brought 25,000 to the Sugar Bowl and dwarfed UF. We are still building our growing fanbase.

I will say I respect the hell out of OSU like I respect Florida, USC, OU, Texas etc...

I hate the bUCkeye state t-shirts because it screams little brother syndrome to me. I also hated the "Ohio's only BCS school" for the same reasons and OSU did make the BCS last year.

1. Prior to BK leaving, UC could have beaten OSU last year. With Quinn as coach I think not.
2. Purdue would have finished last in the BE. They couldn't beat Northern Illinois OOC. Syracuse beat Northwestern (B10 4th place), lost in OT to Miny and played admirably against Penn State.
3. Dantonio brought in talent and coupled with Narduzzi, had a ball-hawking defense that I liked. His conservative offensive play-calling would never get UC to a BE championship. UC did not and will not likely ever get the athletes to play Tressel-ball. Dantonio's boring offense will also not sell-out the Nip.
4. I would take Collaros over Pryor as well. Collaros can run and throw. Pryor really only had two good games last year (Michigan and Oregon State) and all of a sudden OSU fans see him as the second coming of Peyton Manning. They forget how retched he was against Purdue, Navy, Minnesota, Wisconsin, et al.
5. In an overall scheme of things, Eddie George > I. Pead. However, in UC's current offensive system, I might lean to Pead.
6. In 2002, before UC's success, the crowd was 60/40 OSU. I'd imagine if the game were played this season UC would have the edge by a considerable margin. Consider this-- did anyone believe UC had a snowball's chance in 2002? This season, people would believe in UC. The alumni and the city would support the Bearcats en masse.
7. Didn't like the Buckeye State t-shirts, the 700WLW adds and the script Cincinnati the band did either. Sounded like something Xavier would do. Surprised WLW did the spots they did as well, but since I think the people calling the shots and the radio personalities there lean XU anyways it does not surprise me.

I do think UC would have played close with OSU, depending upon which team made plays, penalties, turnovers. Sometimes, a game is won due to several big plays that either team could make. Gilyard returning one back via KOR, a big interception by UC, or vice versa.

I would definitely take Collaros over Pryor. Any day of the week. He is very athletic as a runner, but his passing has yet to be consistent.

Purdue, IMO, would have finished fourth or fifth last year in the BE.

I would take the UC WR and TE's any day.

Defensively would be a struggle, but I suspect UC would have loaded up the box and dared Pryor to throw.

I didn't read the rest of whatever the post was because he starts out telling us one of the biggest lies I've ever heard. Just so you know, in the future if you want us to believe you, just tell us the truth: you were on a chat board talking to other losers who stayed in.
