oh hell no. I want to argue about this. LOL!!! We may be peaking at the right time. Think how much better your attitude would be heading into a revenge game at Temple if we hadn't threw away a road win at SMU. No way we give up 77 to them again. We scored 70 and lost to them. Low point of the season for me. Time to turn the corner and get in peoples face.

There is not a thing in the world that Jenifer (or Caupain) could do to shake up Cronin's rotation. He even moved Cobb on the ball, and now that Johnson one good game...forget about it.

That probably tells you all you need to know. It's not really a Caupain thing...it's a Jenifer thing. I don't know exactly what it is but Cronin does not trust Jenifer in the biggest of moments which seems to be most of the second half in tight(ish) games. He's more willing to play Cobb before Jenifer let alone Caupain.

I thought JJ did a nice job last night...

Look the season is full of ups and downs. He has talent lets hope he has turned the corner.

See that's the thing. I don't want to pin my hopes on the idea that a single random games means he's turned the corner. Every few games he makes a couple shots. Last night he made a couple more bc he took 12 shots. I guess we'll just have to see how it goes.

he ahs the same issue with Evans to a extent. its his defense. Frosh always have trouble adjusting to that end of the court. mainly because they do not have to guard in High school. It seems the argument is if we play JJ we will score more and won't need to play such tough defense. That attitude my friends is part of the reason we have 5 losses.

In college athletics there is no chance we trade him so I guess we got to hope for the best. What did you think of his defense last night. he was a monster. We turned that team over a bunch and he was a big part of it. I think it was like 17 or 18 to our 7

His defense was very good. He definitely had his best game of the season.

KJ is what he is. Defensive intensity will almost always be there. He's gonna be hot for a few games and not so much for the rest. He'll still do head scratching things with the ball.

We just need his hot games to be games we really need it.

I hope so.
We need to get a Temple thread going. I'm fired up about this one. Its pay back time. They hit every shot they threw up in our house. I really think that could have been the turning point for us. Other then 3 minutes against SMU we have played very well since that turd. Hope the team feels the same way.

I'm not sure I agree here...at least not to the point I was making. Evans is averaging a lot more minutes and is often in at the end of games. Jenifer is simply not trusted at all in big situations...he's never been in one yet that I can think of

he has knocked down some big shots over the last couple of years. Actually won us a few games. he'll also scrap for a key board on a few occasions. Hopefully all the guys see that they still can have a special season.

I disagree on one thing. Mick has mentioned many times that players who miss a shot will let it affect their defense. KJ is an embodiment of this, and I think he is one that Mick is referring to. When his shot isn't falling, watch him. Guys start getting around him on defense. He is a little bit of a pouter, and he starts losing his defensive intensity. Then, when he is hitting shots, it's like Popeye eating spinach. He's a defensive terror.

Evans gets so many minutes because he actually plays his area of our defense better than shaq does.

But as LT alluded to, Evans seems to have hit a bit of a freshman wall. 2-12 from 3 in conference and he hasn't scored double digits since the iowa st game.

exactly you have to be able to guard in close games. Shaq turns the ball over. That is the trade off with him and Evans. Ever notice when mick needs a defender late in game he subs Shaq in lots of times for Clark. Shaq can guard and he is long.

He's just so sad he didn't get to do his dance moves after he makes the 3's. Did you see Caupain rage out on him last night when he was celebrating a 3 instead of running back in transition defense.

Don't think Evans plays better Defense. I think if we are protecting a lead Shaq will be in game. if we need offense Evans.
