That's my thing about Troy. His show looks good. He maybe just needs to get some more lift underneath it. He will be alright. He has had some cold games, but there's no reason for people to give him such a hard time. He's a leader on the court and you can tell he's more vocal than a lot of the other guys. He can pass and control the ball. Shots will fall. Things are going to continue to get better for us. In the past, sometimes we would wake up after the Xavier game. This year I think it's after the Temple game. That SMU loss was the most effort I saw out of us compared to all the other losses. Next 3 games are big leading into UCONN. 16-5.

Don't think Evans plays better Defense. I think if we are protecting a lead Shaq will be in game. if we need offense Evans.

I'm going to disagree with this one. When we play our zone Shaq constantly lets himself float towards the inside. Mick has pulled him many times right after Shaq has been sucked over and they hit wide open corner 3's.

Now when we play mostly man, then I can agree with you.

We don't press enough to let him show his strength. All have been pulled for slowly rotating. we are getting better though. Maybe Mick needs to remember what his mentors said, You don't guard you don't play.

I think some of it is about style. Like in other sports people want to see offense. Basketball is no different. Troy is a good floor general and very steady. He takes care of the ball but he isn't a true go to guy with a lot of flash. Personally I like up tempo. My favorite teams were Show time Lakers. Sometimes the ball didn't even hit the floor before Worthy was dunking it. My favorite college team was the Runnin Rebels. We are neither of those or even close. Troy is a cat and I will cheer for him to do well. I think he is by far our best option. now if we land a kid like Duval that is another matter.

I thought we did a hell of a better job covering the 3 point line and the corner 3..

Nearly all of houston 3's were contested so credit to them for that.

I agree to a large extent. I can see Jenifer being more effective at certain things but Troy is pretty solid overall but he doesn't look like the quick flashy quintessential point guard. Still very effective though

He isn't the quick flashy PG. Never will be. He is big, strong, takes care of the ball, guards, hits FT's and until this year hit some 3's at a decent rate. Hopefully he'll find his stroke again.
