Game is Thursday at 9 PM EST on CBSSN.

Houston is 21-8 overall and 11-6 in AAC. They have won 5 of 6, and the loss was from blowing a 12 point 2nd half lead at home vs Temple.

They are #52 in KenPom...#17 AdjO, #178 AdjD, and #258 AdjT.

I think we will be +2.

UC 61
Houston 59

Won't lie.

Im nervous as hell for this game.

Its senior night @ Houston and from the looks of it, it will be sold out. Senior night always scares me when we are the away team. I saw how good Seton Hall was against X on senior night.

I think keys to the game are this:
** Allow 7 3 pointers or less: Last game they hit 10 on us and in all there other wins lately, the max they hit was 7. Make them beat us with 2 point shots
**Shut down Rob Gray: We did a good job of keeping him on the bench last time we played them.
**Limit offensive rebounds: they outrebounded us last time including 18 Offensive RB.
**Run the offense through Gary: We should try to get there big guys in foul trouble and get Gary as many touches as possible

I'd be shocked if we only gave up 7 3s. I hope we do though. I'd go at Gray all game long and make him defend.

Gray didn't play much last game. I agree that he is a huge defensive liability. I think if we slow down Pollard and limit the amount of 3 pointers made we will win.

It's going to be sellout? Are you sure? They always draw the worst crowds I've ever seen. Honestly, it might not be a bad thing if it's packed. A dead arena with no emotion makes our players lazy. Least a crowd would keep them alert.

That sounds like some bulldog logic lol

Haha! But honestly, it's kinda true. Our guys have been known to feed off the energy /environment.

On the radio show, Larry Davis said he hopes it's a large crowd. The players seem to feed off it. So could be a little bit of truth. It's two folds for sure.

We were in position to win the SMU, Temple and Tulsa road games and we did win the UConn game. Outside of Xavier, we've yet to be blown out this year.

I have no concerns about them not coming ready to play, being down two starters will hurt but this is a game we WILL win. It's about time one goes our way.

Cincinnati 67
Houston 63

Not sure it will be a complete sell out but it wont be nearly as empty as normal.

Just went to there site to see available tickets, most sections are sold out and of the ones available, only maybe 10-12 seats left in most sections

I mean it is senior night.. Most teams can get close to sell out on at least that night.

Gray didn't play much because we frustrated the crap out of him and shot 3-11... I'd like to see us do the same him this go around as well.

We always shut down a teams best player BUT its going to be the seniors who we also need to stop. Pollard has been on fire and he will look to have a huge game on senior night.

I'm really expecting a lot out of Kevin Johnson for this one. (never thought I'd type those words) Just watched the road game against Houston last year and he hit some big time shots. I have a feeling we're definitely going to need an unsung hero Thursday to walk out with a win. If Cobb doesn't play he's going to get some major minutes. I hope he doesn't waste them.

KJ was our leading Shot taker and scorer in the home game against Houston.

I hope KJ, Evans and Caupain can hit some big shots and Gary shakes off his bad game.

Really wish we had both Shaq and Cobb back though.

Actually to think about it, KJ has now made at least 2 3s in clutch moments this year.

when we blew a 16 point lead to Houston and they go tit down to 3, he hits a 3 and brings it to 6 and we never looked back. Then same thing against Uconn

Kevin gets a ton of flack from Bearcat fans, but no one can question his passion game in and game out. Even though this may not be a poplular opinion, even with his mishaps, I still like when he's on the floor. Guess I'm just a sucker for 100% effort at all times.

I have this feeling too. Its senior night so maybe it will be a better turnout than Temple. Where you could hear a pin drop during a tie game with a minute left

I agree. As much slack KJ takes, he has come up big in a lot of close games for us this year and the 2nd half of last year.

KJ like our other guards will have a much better game if they try and drive to the hoop. If they want to live behind the line, it stalls our offense bad.

Kj one of my fav Bearcats because of his effort. Who doesn't love a guy with a motor that propel his team.
