Gray didn't play much because we frustrated the crap out of him and shot 3-11... I'd like to see us do the same him this go around as well.

We always shut down a teams best player BUT its going to be the seniors who we also need to stop. Pollard has been on fire and he will look to have a huge game on senior night.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I meant against UConn this weekend, Gray only played 16 minutes and scored 2 points.

Yes, he also didn't play very well against us at home.

I personally think Dotson is the more dangerous player right now. He has hit 13 3's in their last 3 games.

Yea agree.

Gray is only a soph and he was there best player to start the season but I watched an interview with Coach Sampson and he said that when Gray got injured the team learned to play with out him and now they are trying to just get him back in the flow of the game. I think he trusts his older players like Dotson and Pollard in big games.

Houston has a lot of depth, probably one of the deepest teams in the conference.

IF they had scheduled a even mildly decent OOC schedule they would be a bubble team. But they loaded up on cupcakes to get volume wins and if you want respect in the American you better have a good OOC schedule. But I also understand that Sampson wanted to get his team some confidence and I think He maybe the front runner for AAC coach of the year... or Fran

I think Houston is ahead of schedule under Sampson. So I definitely agree with what you said about trying to rack up volume wins by playing a weaker schedule.

I think Dunphy has to get coach of the year if they win the league.

FYI... KenPom metrics has us losing this game 69-68

below are 2 screenshots of Kenpom scouting report.

1. is the entire season

Whats glaring to me about this numbers is that Houston defends the 3 really really well.

But overall has a terrible defense. Goals need to be to score inside, and not take 30 3's.. If we do that, we are playing into there game but if we penetrate and post up down low

I don't mind taking lots of 3s if many of them are coming from passes from the inside. The passing it around the perimeter, settling 3s are the ones that bug me. Clark and Ellis need to be active.

Was told Danny fortson stopped by practice to talk to the team about closing strong. Couldn't be better timing absolute monster here couldn't even imagine if he stayed for his senior year. Hope he talked to Gary one on one. Believe there may be a picture on go Bearcats.com but not positive. I'll check when I get back and try to post them

Not sure if I'm ready for this game. Despite what some say, I feel this is a must win game if we want to get an at large bid.

Down 2 players against an offensively efficient team on the road does not bode well for us.I hope foul trouble doesn't come into play.

Has Cobb officially been ruled out? Haven't seen it and I thought I saw he said he has a chance of playing.
