Winning 20+ is a good season. To many worry to much about a single elimination game. Four months and 20+ wins if good play vs. one single elimination game. Mick stinks. Don't get it.

1. Winning 20 games is not necessarily a good season. Particularly when you play the type of OOC schedule we played. There were 7 guaranteed wins. Winning 20 games means you went 13-11 against the rest of the schedule.

2. I agree to some extent that funky things happen in single elimination games so it is not fair to put all your eggs in that basket. But it's not like we've had many non-NCAA Tournament accomplishments under Cronin either. We have 1 Conference Regular season title. We've finished higher than 4th in the conference standings just twice (both in the AAC) and two other 4th place finishes (2012 and probably this year). So it's not like he's putting up regular season banners either.

Yea I disagree 20+ wins is good. Winning in a single elimination tournament is hard. Have to look at bigger picture not just one game.

20 wins is not good enough for me. We play 32 games minimum. Double digit losses on average in the AAC makes me sick.

Plenty of teams play at a slow pace. Mick needs to create easier scoring opportunities by getting out off a turnover. Playing zone was totally the dumbest thing Mick could've gone to. Again has Mick ever explained it?
It's offensive efficiency that is needed.

Slow foot speed so can't n play man?

It's a number of things of course, but I think the lack of development in Ellis is a big part of it. If he impacts more shots on the defensive end and plays tougher when he has the ball close to the basket it's a different game. He still travels and goaltends more than any big I've ever seen. At some points I feel like he has digressed from last year:

Last year: 9.9 PPG 7.5 RPG 2.0 BPG
This year: 9.9 PPG 7.7 RPG 1.4 BPG

JUCOs are supposed to be valuable because they come in a junior and can make an immediate impact, then grow and be even better their senior year. He hasn't improved at all.

I'm impressed with Evans and Caupain lately. Caupain will average 15+ a game next year. Moore needs to transfer ASAP. We could have used Tre Scott last night. We've said it before BUT next year's team will be much better.
Highly doubtful anyone averages 15 next year. Sorry.

I'm in the camp that to thinks next season will be much better. Washington can play, flat out inside out. Clark and TC will be better as will Evans.
Not picking on u, just enjoying the discussion: how many points did Washington score in the ACC? Not many. Why did he transfer?

Slow foot speed isn't why Mick went to a zone. Zone isnt working anyway. Corner three is always there for other team.

Next year is going to be the same as this year, everyone thinks their going to be better but they will still be mediocre. They will struggle to score at times, look good at times and look completely outmatched sometimes. This is Mick Cronin basketball period.

I just need to see it. Before I can make a decision. Every year we hear how good the new guy is going to be, or the transfer. The only transfer that I remember that the coach said was really going to be good, that was doing it in practice, that ended up making a big difference, was Anthony Buford.

I wonder if UnderArmor will ever give us Red Jerseys.

I really miss us playing a few games a year in Red Uniforms and having a red out on senior night like last year.

Not sure if Under Armor just doesn't do alternate uni's or if we will get them in the next few years. I know the Football team got those absolutely hideous alternate jerseys

How many times this year were we completely outmatched though???

I'd say just @houston and @Xavier but I even feel we put up more effort and fight at Xavier just lost to a better team.

Every other game we matched the other team or looked better but just failed to close it out
