Weird that our 2 highest % 3pt shooters are our bigs

I think if they shot as many as Cumberland or Evans their percent would go down, however, they really have shot the ball great! They also shoot extremely smart 3s I mean I wouldn't mind if they even shot more.

Cumberland obviously has been the biggest disappointment in 3 pt. %.

I thought Cane was going to be at 35-36% so in my mind he's exceeding.

For the best shooter in the Cronin era in T. Moore I'm not pleased with his 33%. I know he's a freshman.

Also disappointing is the FT % of Jarron, Broome and Moore. Guards should be shooting much better than 65%.

Yeah Broome is at like 55% in AAC play on FT. He's had some iffy shooting games overall too.

Fwiw Williams is 9-10 from the line in AAC play. He's starting to turn a corner. I think maybe he had a rude awakening for a minute there and was a little frustrated. Didn't last long though in the grand scheme of things if he's already coming out on the other side.

Bottom line is, contested or not, the combined average success rate of all their 3’s from their top 4 most prolific shooters is better than 40%. So, if they get a shot off, there’s a decent chance it’s going in - I don’t know stats on home vs away, but I’m guessing they’re even better at home

They are very good at shooting 3's and they look very good at making the contested shots as well. But our forte' is making teams uncomfortable doing what they do.

We have a size/length advantage on the outside. They have 3 shooters 6'2 or under. Our wings are all 6'5" or over. They can shoot...we can stay in their face. ON the other end how can they block us on the wing at 6'2"?

Maybe we can put to rest the undersized guard debate? Houston can not only shoot but they can create shots and make them without size/length. I remember when we had Cobb (at 6'1")...he could knock down set shots but could not create open 3 pointers very easily. KJ could not create his shots and wasn't even good at knocking down open shots at 6'3".

Tonight....let's simplify...

Let's bring intensity on D, rebounds and loose balls.

Let's take care of the ball (10 turnovers or less).

If we do that we win...plain and simple.

Not going to be caught unaware after the game here...they know what to expect & what to do - after that initial onslaught in Cincy, the Cats outplayed them by 28 pts.
