What's wrong with what I said? It's my honest opinion. Davis decided to transfer. He left the team. I'm not going to put him on a pedestal because his family went through a tragedy. Let's be honest here. What is him moving home and living at Ball State going to do to help his family recover from their house burning down? If he quit school and basketball to go get a job to help the family out financially then I would say yes, he's making a tough decision to help his family and I admire him for it. His house burned down, his family lost all their possessions, it sucks. I can't imagine the pain they are going through and hope I never have to experience it, but life will go on, they will find a new place to live and rebuild their lives. That would happen whether Davis was living at UC and playing basketball on scholarship or he is living at Ball State and playing basketball on scholarship. Davis wasn't happy here, he wasn't seeing the court. He decided to move his life and basketball career in a different direction. I don't blame him and I wish him well, but I'm not going to pretend this move in any way helps his family out other than he can pop in and see his family on a daily basis which might boost the family morale. The best thing for his family long-term is for him to get a degree and find a job in the real world. If he thinks that will happen better at Ball State then great.
I understand your thinking but how do we have any idea what this kid is going through? There could be a lot more to this situation than we know. When the kid isn't practicing there is some serious **** happening.
