I don't know why people think Moore will play the 4 in Mick's system. Doesn't fit at all, especially with Lawrence and Clark on the team.

I also don't see Clark at the 3, especially given Thomas and Sanders will both be back.

Is shooting 41% from three the last 19 games.

Thought it was worth mentioning since there was at least one person convinced he'd never be a good shooter earlier in the year...

I believe I commented that I didn't think he would ever be a GREAT outside shooter. He shot 30% from 3 his senior year of high school and 23% his junior year... At the time I made that comment, he was somewhere in the midst of his 1-15 start. I don't think that was a far-fetched comment to make at all.

I think he will be a streaky 3-point shooter who will shoot in the low-to-mid 30s throughout his career. I believe I compared him to Dion Dixon in that regard. I think he will have a better career than Dixon overall though.

Also, just because I don't ever see him being a 40% shooter doesn't mean I think he's a bad player by any means. I think he steps into either the starting line-up or first guard of the bench next year and becomes a 13-15 ppg scorer his junior and senior years, playing excellent perimeter defense and gradually developing as a better playmaker/passer. I think you'll see him handle the ball more later in his career, similar to SK. I don't see him becoming as dominant of a scorer as SK, if only because I don't believe he will need to be with the talent we are now recruiting.

I really hope we find a guy in the next 2 years who can spread the floor with his outside shooting ability. It could really help open up our offense. I thought maybe Sanders could be that guy, but his release is too slow to scare anyone.

I like our incoming freshmen but they won't start. I think 3-5 will easily be thomas, lawrence, deberry. The point will be between Gelawn and troy, Gelawn is a senior next year I think he steps up, troy will also improve a lot and both will play well. 2 guard will be between whoever doesn't start at point and kj, I also like morman playing a lot of different positions coming off the bench. I like sanders coming off the bench, but he is a senior those starters better work especially lawrence or mick will start sanders. Joining him off the bench is clark, morman, and one of the three guards. Strickland could grab some bench minutes hopefully he's been working this year. But enough with that this team this year could do something special, also life post sk and jj is depressing. But man I'm pumped for this march run!

Wrong on both accounts...

There will ALWAYS be two guards on the floor at a time. Caupain and Guyn are likely to start and Johnson and Morman will give valuable minutes. Please stop....

What are you talking about I never said that's what the starting lineup might be I was responding to someone who said something about extra lineups on the floor no one said starting lineup I'm not one to start playing your games with you better back off me.

Can we cut the immature garbage here lately? My goodness. These are HAPPY TIMES to be a UC fan.

Read what I was responding to and read what he wrote you would say the same thing if he was saying that stuff to you he always has to be fighting with someone, I won't take his games no one should. I love the BEARCATS more than anyone I'm so happy for them.

He responded to you putting 2 SFs at two guard and you got offended. I agree with him. The guards will play the 1 and 2. Thomas and Sanders simply aren't gifted for that .role.

I think Mormon is going to contribute next season and people shouldn't sleep on him.

I think many people assume that redshirting is a bad thing. Thankfully, we have the perfect example on our team of how that is not true. I think Morman will contribute defensively right away and even though I don't think he will be a great shooter, he seems to have a knack for getting into the lane and finishing. Someone compared him to a left-handed Dixon, and I think that is a fair comparison. I hope he will be better than Dixon, but Dion as a pretty solid player, even with all the crap people say about him. He was a very streaky shooter, but he was tough. I can remember how angry I was when he dribbled that ball off of his foot, but thankfully, that dunk in the Florida State game was redemption in my mind.

I don't think Guyn starts unless he has one helluva an offseason. He certainly won't start at the2.

Caupain
KJ
Thomas
Lawrence
DeBerry unless his effort or defense lacks

The first one I wrote is exactly what he said the lineup would be Caupain, Guyn, Thomas, Lawrence, Deberry so how is that wrong. He is just trying to start a fight and you think at no point and time next year that there will be a lineup in the game of Caupain, Sanders, Thomas, Lawrence, Deberry that just nuts.

The 5 is very interesting to me. I think Strickland will get minutes, but DeBerry will probably be better right off the bat. Strickland will be rusty since he can't really do anything this year as far as basketball goes.

You don't think we can just have two guards? Why does one have to be the point and one have to be shooting? I just look at it from the perspective of we'll need Guyn to step it up even more next year. KJ plays a few minutes per game this year, and Guyn is playing around 25. I don't think it matters THAT much that he isn't a pure shooting guard. He and Caupain can take turns running the offense. Starting Kevin Johnson seems a little bit out there to me. That's a huge jump in minutes.

Guyn is overrated, Mick just loves him for his defense. He is a decent role player, but I don't think he has earned the minutes he is playing. He isn't good enough to start as a shooting guard, I think KJ and Morman both have a lot more potential.

Fair enough. I mean I'm not a huge Guyn fan by any stretch, I just figured he'd still be the starter and Cronin would work in guys like KJ and Morman, and if they found more success, they'd get more minutes.
