After Lavin's success at UCLA, and his time away from the game (to allow him to mature and observe the game from a distance) I think this is a great pick up for St. Johns. It concerns me as a UC fan that he may be able to put them back on the map in a few years.

I think it's a great hire for St. Johns. A coach with his background could begin to woo the NYC area talent. They could be very strong in a few years.

he can definitely can recruit, is coaching is a Huge question mark IMO. They'll be coach shopping in 4 to 5 years
