With out a doubt the biggest game of the season to date. Hopefully, 13,176 will be there for this titanic struggle.

win & we can afford 2 more losses if need be.

Lose and we have to beat marquette and suffer no more than 1 loss the rest of the way way

this will be a perfect atmosphere for Chris Obekpa to visit the university in, expecting a packed house in the Shoe for the blackout

I am mostly worried about turnovers and rebounding for UC. Loserville will be in our faces for 40 min and we haven't been good with the ball lately. We def have to get better fast at defensive rebounding. Just looking at the Seton hall game there were too many times SH would get 3-4 offensive possessions before we get on offense. Oooooh I really hope we can win this game and I hope we shut down Behannan. Ill admit that I'm still salty he backed away from UC and reading the article in Enquirer about him saying Cincy is always his city blah blah is BS. I hope we show him no love and he regrets being a retardinal.

we are still pushing it if we lose two more. if we finish 2-2 we will be sweating for sure on selection sunday.

This team has to play like every game is the deciding factor of whether they get in or not. My opinion is that to be solidly in they must win 3 of 4.

I feel good about this U of L game. We need a win and it is at home verse a rival. We always seem to play well verse them.

It will be a sell out.

This game could honestly not be much bigger.

-We are on squarely on the bubble, lowest RPI and worst SoS of the Big East bubble teams.
-Lousville would be another quality win to our resume
-We are currently the 7 seed in the Big East tournament. If the season ended right now, we would play the winner of UCONN and Providence. Not exactly a great draw to play UCONN in the tourney in close to their backyard. If we move up to 6 or 5, as of now, we would play Pitt/Butgers or Villanova/St. Johns.
-Marquette and USF are coming up which are tough...need to get a quality Win now. I don't see how one can expect to beat Marquette (although we'll certainly hope)
-Christopher Obekpa will be in attendance

This is why we watch! The place will be rocking...Let's do this sh*t.

If UC gets back to taking care of the ball UC will win. Cash is without a doubt the biggest player in this game for Cincinnati. He has to come ready to play mentally. Dixon has to continue attacking and Gates has to be motivated to rebound and defend the paint. Hopefully Sk's shot is falling from the outside.

Defensively you can't allow the Cardinals second chance points or Siva to penetrate at will. Those two things will kill the Bearcats and allow Louisville to set up it's press. You beat Louisville by playing defense and making them miss shots. Make them be a man to man or zone team.

I hope the crowd is LOUD! I think this will be a war. They could give the Cats the edge.

Louisville's press really worries me. We have looked lost recently against the press. I think this game comes down to a few things. One is they need Louisville to not be shooting the three ball well as you alluded to. The other in my opinion is the officiating. Big East officiating is like night and day anymore, but if we get a crew that has a very loose whistle we will be in trouble. While obviously it will help us to be able to play aggressively, I think it will hurt more if their guards get to manhandle our ballhandlers. I've seen Louisville in the past just maul players with the ball when they're allowed to get away with it. Cash is typically good with the ball, but when you get a body literally on him he is not strong enough to make passes.

These two teams are for the most part identical in style of play. There should be no surprises. I think that's one reason we've always played them well. With that said that does nothing for tomorrow night's game. We need to play focused and with a purpose. The late start and big crowd should help.

Is it just me or has this game lost a lot of it rivalry feel? Fans on this board who are in their 30's or older like me remember a time when this game had a real feeling of hate to it.

Well, if that is the case, hopefully this game will bring a little bit of that passion back. I still really hate Louisville so...

Fuk Louisville - How you don't fire a guy who did what he did a few years ago is beyond me, especially when you have a moral clause in your contract. Thanks for showing that you are a school where winning means everything.

Fuk Chane - I don't want to see this kid walk out of "his city" with a win. If fans were all over Mick for taking a job at Ville, then I hope the shoe show Chane some love for being a true traitor.

Fuk Rick - Nothing better then seeing this classless bastard lose. And classless is to kind of a word for him..

Lets get this one Cats!!

Amen westside. I want chane to fail epically and I hope our fan base realized that he is a fake and traitor. I am insulted he claims cincy is his city. He gets no love here, no nati native wants to be a retardnial.

Lots of venom.

Chain is just a kid. I'll root against him when he plays UC, but I won't root against him as a person or basketball player.

Seton Hall beats Georgetown. Not good for us. Just gotta keep winning.

Ultimately, Seton Hall beating Georgetown might not be a bad thing for UC. Georgetown on the road is still a great win and it just makes the Seton Hall win at home look that much better.

It also gives us a great shot at the double-bye if we finish 3-1. I fully expect Georgetown to finish 12-6 after they lose at Marquette on the final day of the season.

I didn't even think about that. Good point. If we can beat Louisville on Thursday, 3-1 is very realistic. That USF game scares the crap out of me and, IMO, is a critical game that UC needs to win.

Cincinnati is in good position right now, they hold or could potentially hold tie breakers over Marquette (b/c they lost to ND and UC beat them), Louisville, Georgetown and Notre Dame.

No No No!!!! I live in Louisville and I hate them with a firey passion. This is a game I dread/love. If we lose I haver to hear baout it from most of these fairweathers folks and it truly sickens me! If we win it is the best feeling I could have in a basketball season aside from any kind of FF or championship. This game is make or break for me...fittingly it is the same for the Cats, we NEED THIS!!!!!! Come on boys
