Thoughts? Predictions?

I think Yancy starts off hot. Dion takes a ton of shots but plays well.

Keys to Victory:

- Under 10 turnovers
- Hit 6 threes
- Create 10+ turnovers

After seeing our guards handle their pressure last time, I highly doubt we'll be under 10 turnovers.

If we turn them over though and hit our threes, we'll be in the game

I think the key is not how many turnovers but rather how many points given up off of TOs in transition. If we can limit their run outs for easy layups, we will be in this game. If not, it will be a long night. We have to hope their non-shooters don't make everything from 3 like they did in the first game.

I think I remember hearing Marquettes tallest player (that plays) was 6'7. Any truth to that? Not that it matters- Buzz has his team playing good basketball.

Do Senior citizens like myself get discounts on tickets and concessions on Senior Night like at the Reds Senior Days?

Pretty sure we all know how big tomorrow is but for those that think we're a lock should read this from ESPN. Pretty much sums up how many feels here about our chances. Why many UC fans feel it only matters what you do in confrence is beyond me.

Cincinnati [20-9 (10-6), RPI: 76, SOS: 132] Cincinnati's win over Louisville on Thursday was huge for this team's profile; it gave the Bearcats their fifth win against the RPI top 50, and there are plenty of bubble teams that would love to own wins over Georgetown, Louisville, Notre Dame and even UConn. But the Bearcats' nonconference performance could come back to haunt them. The RPI is still hovering in prohibitive territory. No team in the last 15 years has received an at-large bid with an RPI outside the top 75. Even more dire: The nonconference SOS is ranked No. 323 in the nation. Last season, we saw Alabama play a bad nonconference schedule, take a couple of bad losses (i.e., Cincy's loss to Presbyterian), turn it on in conference play (finished 12-4) and rack up a bunch of top-50 wins despite a thoroughly mediocre RPI. And settled for the NIT. Could the same fate befall the Bearcats? If the Watch had to guess, it would say Cincinnati's in, at least as of today. But a win over Marquette on Wednesday still feels crucial

We need this game to get in the tourney IMO. Also, I want to see Yancy and Dixon walk of the floor for the last time(perhaps) as winners.

well, UC just opened as a 1 point favorite and has already been bet to a 1.5 pt fav (-125 not -110) meaning its pretty close to jumping to a 2 point favorite.

Some optimism out there :D

HCA is pretty

Beating a Top 10 team when you're already on the right side of the bubble, with one game left, would seemingly put you in a good spot. Here are the scenarios as I see them.... I am going to talk about the last 2 games and the 1st game of the BET:

3-0: Obviously a lock for the tourny and probably around an 8 seed depending how far we take it in the BET

2-1: With one of those wins being Marquette, we would be a lock. If we lose to MU and beat the other two we would be on the bubble but on the right side.

1-2: With the win being verse MU, I think we are on the bubble and more than likely on the good side. If it is not verse MU I believe we will be on the bubble and leaning towards the bad side.

0-3: NIT

Yeah, pretty much agree. If we win tonight I think we lock no matter what happens in the last two.

Lose tonight, then I think we have to win the next three to feel safe.

Let's just win tonight and erase all doubt!!

So far driving into the lane has worked better than expected, and better than we have ever had it before.

Should keep doing it, not shooting 3s.

ESPN3 says we're 1-13 from 3 with 7 minutes left in the first half.

It's bizarre how when Yancy is out of the game, our affinity for penetration goes up...

On a side note, Yancy's absence (suspension) earlier in the season really helped prepare Jackson for this stretch.

Let's not cough up this 16 point lead. We all know Marq can score in bunches.

JJ being all world tonight. Parker has been taking it strong. Yancy started out like he was on a mission. He controled the game the first three mins of the game.

Cincinnati didn't need the fight with Xavier to rally their season --- they needed Jaquon Parker --- didn't play in Bearcats first 8 games.
