"By far the best recruiting class in my 7 years with the program" - Mick Cronin

and Lance Stephenson "going to be a number one pick, best player since oscar"

I hate reading comments like this from Mick because he uses them all to much and they dont hold much merrit anymore.

Except this could be very true. I mean, other than the graduating class (and SK)...what other class has been that good? ;)

Seriously though, this class looks promising.

So true.

And Titus Rubles was his best recruit prior.... yawn

Just win and show me an offense

well some will point to his 10 seed team and be happy with it. the offense? yeah, not going to happen under his watch. 7 years of horrible offense isn't just going to change. even with his "best class". that really ain't all that..

No. He said he was the most gifted player on last years roster. Two vastly different things.

“Titus is a very good player and he’s only going to get better,” Cronin said. “He’s a great athlete, but he’s really got a good basketball IQ, he can make shots and he really is a good passer. He’s as talented of a player as has come in here since I’ve been here [as a head coach"

You are wrong Jason. As usual

No, you are wrong. Check your reading comprehension skills-"He's as talented of a player as has come in here since I've been here [as a head coach]" Where did he say he is the most talented player he's coached? It's like saying Oscar Robertson was the greatest player ever vs. Oscar is one of the greatest players ever. Does it mean he is the best? No. One is a definite answer, while the other leaves it up to debate. Plus, you don't know Mick's definition of talented. Maybe Mick considers Biggie McClain and Kelvin Gaines very talented players and is saying that Rubles is on their level......

Rubles is very talented. He can rebound, pass and dribble very well for a guy his size and get to the rim almost at will. What he doesn't do well, and this is on the staff, is play well within his skill set with confidence and complete his drives and finish. If he can do that this coming season Titus will be a big part of the team.

Maybe I should haved used talented instead, but is that not very similar? What exactly is Rubles talented at is my argument? Being tall and bigger.... Im pretty sure half of us on here are better dribblers, WAY better shooters and are just as quick.

Hes OK at best

Your personal attacks are unwelcome. Go on with your day. Things will be ok

I agree, Rubles is frustrating, but he was the #2 JUCO player for a reason. He is a better dribbler than you give him credit for, his problem is that his shot is so bad that people wait for him to dribble and dare him to shoot. He has shown ability to finish around the rim, but teams wised up to his awful shooting and it caused the rest of his game to suffer. Also, he is a good rebounder and made some really pretty passes at times. Getting him a better shot will improve his game leaps and bounds, IMO. Him throwing, I mean, shooting a basketball looks like Tim Tebow throwing a football, not pretty or smooth at all.
