Mick a Candidate for UNLV?

I'm not sure why people are so concerned that someone in negotiations would use (gasp) leverage to their advantage. ..lol!

That's how business works. Only an idiot would hire an agent who can't recognize and use leverage.

That being said...I'm kinda neutral on the outcome at this point. I'm greedy for more but understand it's not that easy.

At what point is Cronin overplaying his hand if he indeed is going for a raise/extension?

Someone in year 2 of a seven year contract isn't in negotiations.

What makes UNLV appealing at all? The fact that they are the only sports team in town? That's it. Unless they are giving him over $3 million, which would be absurd since they paid Rice $300,000 base salary, this move would make zero sense for Mick.

It was certainly odd that both Chuck and Terry were pretty critical of the coaching staff. Chuck thought they didn't handle Shaq Thomas very well. Maybe it was because none of the coaches were there...but Terry probably attends practice enough to have legitimate gripes.

Really annoys me that President Ono is even remarking on the UNLV rumors. If he wants to go, he wants to go, don't get on your knees to beg and plead.

Maybe they struck it big on the slots

Yeah at first I thought "He must know we aren't getting in the Big 12." Then I thought "Wait a second, the Mountain West is worse than the American."
