FOR THE LAST TIME ******* THOSE ARE NOT THE FACILITIES WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. THE ARENA, LOCKER ROOMS, and BASKETBALL LOUNGE IS WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. Compare them to Xavier, Louisville, OSU, MSU, IU, ND, and UK and they are not even in the same realm of quality. We are at a major disadvantage. It will not matter who the new coach is, unless Cal comes in here, if we do not upgrade the BASKETBALL facilities.

There's a player lounge in the Lindner Center. The locker room is the single thing I will agree on. Arena needs updating for the fans.

Player lounge is very nice to. Also we have a great trainers and training rooms with everything an athlete could need

If only you knew who Mo Egger was........lol. Those are all just opinion pieces stacked with hyperbole. If Mick feels under appreciated with his 2.2 million dollar salary coaching his alma-matter and hometown team then that's a much bigger reflection on him than our fan base. Mick would have been a God if he brought our program back to being a national power. Some of you guys act like everyone should have just anointed him as a king and the university should have shelled out every last dollar they have to support a program that makes very little money for the school.

Mick is apparently the mecca of college basketball coaching yet I can't find a single mention of his name right now the ESPN college basketball page. That's most likely because no one outside of Cincinnati or his buddies in the media have any clue who the heck he is.

How fast you get defensive is one of the funniest things i've ever seen. WHAT A DRAMA QUEEN

This hasn't been done yet! Thats one of the reason's Mick is unhappy.

We already spent $105 Million. This last $1.4 Million doesn't change his general statement much. I believe the $1.4 was to be spent on the lockerroom.

And for recruiting! Do you actually think a big time player visits 5/3 arena and then travels down 71 to Louisville to the Yum center and goes "Yeah those are about the same." NO WAY. State of the art NBA arena with every amenity possible. It matters. As much as you want say our arena doesnt hurt recruiting its just wrong. Hell even Xavier has an NBA feel with state of the art sound systems, video boards, jumbo tron, and lighting system. UC feels like a high school gym.

Seriously though, I feel like this just came out of no where. How many of you seriously thought when our regular season ended, we would have to worry about Mick leaving? I'm on this board everyday and that topic never came up. The reason why I have ill feelings towards Mick is because we all just got completely blind sided. We basically are getting Brian Kelly'd but without our coach going to his "dream" school. We were suppose to have a coach who was already at his dream school. UNLV is a step down for someone who is a freaking alum and born and raised citizen of Cincinnati. He's a snake IMO. Should have known he always was when he played Huggins for fool and went to his slime ball "mentor".

If Mick leaves and with Jamie Dixion already out at Pittsburgh it will be interesting to see who ends up with the better Coach. Both inner city schools, about same size, both have professional sports.

If us fans filled that goofy arena, those recruits wouldn't care jack about it. The coach can't rally the fanbase to sell it out, therefore, let's spend another $100 Million and hope the nicer atmosphere makes the fans come, since the basketball isn't getting it done. Bottom line, how many fans want to sit in the upper deck to watch 55-53 games? NOBODY!

Maybe we're going for a retro rather than modern look. Unfortunately all the hipster basketball players go to Gonzaga anyway.

My God, how does Duke get recruits to play at Cameron Indoor Arena?
