here's another...again not saying this is even a factor. I just find it interesting coming from Cincy media

"Some seem all too eager to watch Mick Cronin walk away. I take with a very, very large grain of salt anyone who says they want Mick to go, either on his own accord or by the school kicking him to the curb. So many people refused to ever give Mick a legit chance when he took over UC's program ten years ago that I always wonder if the criticism is coming from a place that originated with the bad feelings that accompanied his hiring, or if they've developed over the course of his tenure."

"But you and I both know that there's a whole bunch of people who call themselves UC fans who will never give Mick a break. They've been against him from the start, and many have been against the very idea of him overseeing the UC hoops program since before he was hired. Dragging the Bob Huggins saga of 11 years ago (!) seems trite, silly, and pointless, but the weird, svengali-like way that the mere image of Bob Huggins still sends some UC "fans" into a trance and the sad way that others never let go of the past have created a climate of resentment and dislike that Mick Cronin was never going to be able to completely overcome."

The one thing I've heard Mick talk about consistently over the years is the lack of a privately chartered plane for recruiting purposes.

So we have a Cronin fanboy that doesn't even know about the Lidner Athletic Center? Makes sense...

Oh hitting me where it hurts...my knowledge of the names of the campus buildings. ouch. I googled lindner center just like L-T said and there is nothing but the depression counseling center on the first page of results.

I won't use facilities as an excuse, but when our arena and locker room arent as nice as Middle TN State, that's a problem any way you slice it. Again not an excuse but it's kinda sad

We just spent 1.3 million renovating our men's basketball areana. From an article in 2014
"When it's completed," Cronin said, "we'll have as good of amenities for our players as any school in the country."

Multiple fanboys!. I believe they will soon be posting on the UNLV boards. When they don't have a clue about our facilities, I question if they were Cronin fans or Bearcat fans.

My god....and these are the ones who claim to be our real fans.

Here, read it and weep.

$105 Million....how much more do you want to spend?

FOR THE LAST TIME ******* THOSE ARE NOT THE FACILITIES WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. THE ARENA, LOCKER ROOMS, and BASKETBALL LOUNGE IS WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. Compare them to Xavier, Louisville, OSU, MSU, IU, ND, and UK and they are not even in the same realm of quality. We are at a major disadvantage. It will not matter who the new coach is, unless Cal comes in here, if we do not upgrade the BASKETBALL facilities.

LT those places are nice, very nice but they aren't directly for basketball, outside of practice space. I'm just speaking on arena and locker rooms and they are very subpar, what difference that makes I can't say I'm not a 18-19 year old kid anymore.

If you were fan of UC athletics, you'd know about Varsity Village. It's the FOOKING reason why we got into the Big East. It was a huge investment in top notch athletic facilities for all the olympic sports. Come on dude, buy your subscription to the janky online MWC network and continue to support your boy.

Those are for the locker rooms. Not the arena. The funds have been raised. They are sitting in a bank account. The project was put on hold. Many reasons have been rumored.

That money has never been spent.... It's easy to pull articles I figured a big time booster would know nothing has been done with the money.

Hysterical that you think knowing the name of building on a campus that some have never been on a relevant factor of being a fan...You just love to elevate your status. Don't you have a booster celebration rally to attend?

If only you knew who Mo Egger was........lol. Those are all just opinion pieces stacked with hyperbole. Mick has never once said what so many of you are pretending is fact.

If Mick feels under appreciated with his 2.2 million dollar salary coaching his alma-matter and hometown team than that's a much bigger reflection on him than our fan base. Mick would have been a God if he brought our program back to being a national power. Some of you guys act like everyone should have just anointed him as a king and the university should have shelled out every last dollar they have to support a program that makes very little money for the school.

Mick is apparently the mecca of college basketball coaching yet I can't find a single mention of his name right now the ESPN college basketball page. That's most likely because no one outside of Cincinnati or his buddies in the media have any clue who the heck he is.

Meant to type locker rooms not areana, rumors I've heard is the are waiting till they renovate the arena to make sure everything fits right.could be wrong just what I've heard
