If you guys are willing to donate the hundred thousands of dollars it would require to get a schedule like that, please contact the AD. None of those are realistic...

can u elaborate on this? I more than concede that im totally ignorant on what goes into the financial side of scheduling.

This is simply not true. To say that none of these are realistic is wrong. Dayton is realistic. Memphis could be done on a 1 for 1 if Memphis were interested. Don't forget Memphis already plays Tennessee every year (UK maybe too?).

I don't mind playing any of those schools listed by Ervin. Some should not be 1 for 1 deals though. 2 for 1, maybe.

If the Bearcats go back to the NCAA again this season they'll get big games again. They'll have some games switched this season to television if they keep winning.

I don't have the exact numbers right now (can't find that bookmark) but I'll say this, the discrepancy in costs of scheduling a school like Arkansas Pine-Bluff and a solid mid major like Wichita State or Missouri State is way too much for this Athletic Department to handle. The past few years they have really had a difficulty filling the schedule, so thats why you've seen the 300+ RPI team as they are very cheap. The best way for Cincinnati to get solid Non-Conference games would be to play in a Holiday tournament like they will be next year (playing in Vegas against UNLV, Oregon and another BCS team). If they were able to play better teams (like 150 RPI rather than 300) they would, but its not financially possible to fill a schedule with them. Mick has been working very hard to get games against Indiana, Purdue or Kentucky, but by his own admission, they aren't going well. Hoping they can progressively get it better and better, with a much more progressive AD like Whit.

A series with Dayton is certainly possible, I am not sure how well Archie and Mick get along since his brother Sean Miller hates Mick and UC. Other than that it will be very difficult to get any of the other schools, but I'd certainly love to play Memphis again.

I def. do not want to see us get in a series with dayton. Not sure why, just not interested in playing them period. I am with you tho with Memphis.

You are completely clueless. You cannot just snap your fingers and get a good schedule. But then again with you, its no surprise...

To claim all the games listed are not possible is exactly what I said...not remotely accurate.i'm not interested in paying witchita state. Look at the games that are mentioned.getting one or two of those games a year is very possible

I think he has to start taking a few risks and play the better mid-major teams like Murray State, Akron, etc. Huggs used to somehow manipulate the rpi by playing those mid major teams that would play a tough schedule which would help UC's rpi. Mick needs to take note of how Huggins did it. Probably as simple as looking at West Virginia's OOC schedule this year and the last couple.

Huggs had to do that because Conference USA was very weak at the bottom.

No doubt about that.

My whole thing is this. This isnt so much about making the tournament, the Big East decides that. For me its about filling seats and generating excitement about UC basketball. We are nearly 20 games in and people are finally now starting to come to life.

The die hard fans, like myself and alot of this board will attend all the games they can... but the average fan isnt going to go watch some of the tueerrible games I watched early on. Throw in 1 or 2 early good games and who knows
