From the Enquirer:
[/IMick Cronin confirmed Friday that his agent was in talks with the University of Cincinnati about a contract extension and scoffed at reports that he is on a short list of candidates for the Arkansas job.
"I don't know how that cropped up," Cronin said. "I want to be the coach at Cincinnati. I think everybody knows what I want to do. I've never made that a secret."
Cronin said he appreciated that UC athletic director Mike Thomas has approached him about an extension, but said he's leaving the negotiations to his agent during the NCAA Tournament.
"Mike has indicated to me that they're happy with the job that's been done here," Cronin said, "and that they look forward to having me as their coach. I'm honored to be the coach. I've said that from day one.
"Those things will take care of themselves. I have somebody that does that for me. They've already had some talks. I asked them to keep me out of it. I'm worried about winning games, so I need to keep my mind on basketball. I don't know how deep into details they are."
