Here is a e-mail sent to lance at 1530 from a Muskie fan. What say we get off the Couch and support the best team in city Wed. night.

Sender's comment:
Xavier basketball makes big changes to Cintas Center. Meanwhile, over at 3/5ths Empty Arena...we now have seat backs on some upper level bleachers! Over/under on sellouts this year = 1, Crosstown Shootout game

I barely even understand what the X fan is trying to say, so I'm not going to pretend to care what they think.

I think what he is trying to say is we have a lazy ass fan base,a piss poor arena and they are the better program. While we sit arguing whether our program is good or elite they are filling there arena and supporting their team. I'm putting my money were my mouth is and i'm going to the game.

If I go to the game I will get everyone in the arena sick and Mick will ban me for life. We dont want that do we?

I go to plenty of games ($200 mini-plan, along with select other games), but I'm not one to judge on whether people go to games or not. Spend your money however you like; it's yours. You can support your team any way you want to. Granted, empty arenas suck, and I do wonder where everybody is often, but still. It's like going to your buddy's and asking him why he doesn't go buy a bigger TV. Just not your business.

Have a stupid senior class that night. I should just skip it and not graduate, eh.

Not telling anyone what to do just trying to generate some positive interrest in the team. If you can't make it no big deal. One thing I do agree with L-T about is if we want to be big time we need to generate a large fan base.

World needs ditch diggers to. LOL!!! Completely understandable your conflict. Go to class and get a degree. You also represent what the university stands for.

We had great student turnout against Saint Francis. The student section was packed and loud most the game. They were doing the free shirts for the first 1,000 and it was a Friday... but hopefully they keep coming and the cold doesn't keep people away tomorrow

I was there as well. I didn't get a T-shirt though. Got there way early and saw them hanging on the rail. Was tempted to snatch one. I love the No pity in the Queen city.

Im the opposite. My brother and I were talking about how great those shirts would be if they DIDNT have the words on the back. I dont like Corny words on shirts at all(why I never shopped at Steve and Barrys)

I thought the t-shirts were great, and giving away shirts is a great way to get students out to the game. But I saw way to many students grab a shirt and walk right back out and I was unable to get one so I was pretty pissed.

Other than that, I will definitely be right in the middle of the student section cheering loud and proud!

Love the Idea, just wish they would do away with the corny sayings so I would actually wear them outside of the game. Just brings me back to my senior year of high school when our class shirts said...."stick a fork in us were done" yea I never wore that shirt. Pretty sure I threw it away

Ha yeah that is a pretty bad saying, so I don't think I'd wear that either! But I agree that giving away shirts is sweet. For example, the Justin Jackson mean face shirt is awesome.

That was great! Not as good as the homecoming "Xavier girls are ugly" followed by the "Xavier girls are still ugly" shirts
