This is an utterly classless comment about a young man who is representing our program. I sure hope his parents and potential recruits aren't reading crap like this.

This has already been addressed. It was a bad joke in poor taste. Move on.

Thomas can't make threes and he's not good at entry passes and he's indecisive. He's no good against a zone. He's like a 5th man in a 4 man relay race...you don't need an extra guy to pass the baton.

Sanders does more against a zone with less ball skills and athleticism because he can make a three and he's decisive when he passes the ball and goes to the lane. Sanders needs to see most of the minutes against a zone and Shaq shouldn't see more than 10-15.

Against man is a different story

Nice post, and I'd agree. Sanders is better against a zone and Shaq is better against man.

Good win last night. NC Central is a solid, veteran, well-coached team. Where we are struggling on defense is getting lost and giving up open looks. NC Central was making those shots last night where our first three opponents weren't. If our offense hadn't stepped up last night we probably would've lost. Overall I saw alot more positives last night than negatives for game four with a young team.

So there are two comments from Mick's postgame that I found interesting. One when he was commenting on Ellis he said he had always planned on bringing him back. The second comment was when he was talking about Shaq. He said Shaq's game isn't suited for a half-court offense. Ummmm... we run a half-court offense. We will always run a half-court offense. So why is he starting? What is his upside? I think we've all made that observation about Shaq, lord knows I've commented on it. But if the coach is conceding he's too easy to defend in the half-court offense then why is he still running him out there? I root for Shaq and I was hoping we'd finally see something good out of him this year, but I'm pretty much sold that he will never be anything more than what he is and has been. I hope Sanders starts to get more minutes and Morman can get some looks in there as well. I will say Shaq's defense is better than Sanders. They both seem to lose their man and give up shots, but Shaq is a better defender. Sanders is a much better rebounder though.

I still think Shaq gets it together soon. Its all mental right now for him. When it rains it poors, and right now nothing is going his way. I don't think we should give up on Shaq, when he is playing well he can get to the rim at will, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

not advocating we give up on Shaq but he is not now or ever has been a guy who can get to rim at will. If he does get to rim on occasion he has trouble finishing.
